Three-piece pop band Ikimonogakari have revealed that they will be releasing a new full album on December 25th. Titled “WE DO”, this record comes fully five years after the release of their previous longplay “FUN! FUN! FANFARE!” and will be their eighth studio album together.
“WE DO” will include its previously released title track, as well as other digital singles “Taiyou”, “SING!”, “Identity”, and “STAR LIGHT JOURNEY”, as well as eight new songs for a total of 13. The album is set to be issued in two versions, with the Limited Edition to come packaged with a live CD containing audio from their May concert at Zepp DiverCity in Tokyo.

Singer/songwriter Sachiko Aoyama, who rose to fame as the frontwoman for electronic/rock band Negoto, has announced that she will be releasing her first CD as a solo artist this month. The EP, titled “Maboroshi”, will be sold at Aoyama’s live shows starting on November 12th; no details regarding a wider release have been made available at this time.
“Maboroshi” will include six tracks in total, among them the band-influenced “Vanilla” and popular crowd pleaser “Seventh Heaven”. Scenarioart’s Kousuke Hayashi played a major role in the record’s creation, participating in both the arrangement and recording processes.

On November 3, The 2019 MTV Europe Music Awards were held in Seville, Spain. One of the awards handed out at the show was for Best Japanese Act. King Gnu took home the prize, beating out competition from Nulbarich, CHAI, Tempalay, and Chanmina. King Gnu accepted their award via video, which MTV Japan then posted on their Twitter account. “Turn up with the Jpop!” ARASHI has released their first digital single “Turning Up” and the music video uploaded at their Youtube channel.
As previously reported, the group has announced several activities during their YouTube Live press conference on their 20th anniversary on November 3. One of which is the digital distribution of all 65 singles of the group including “Turning Up” starting at 7pm JST and the premiere of the music video.
The new music video premiered at 9pm and starts with a news broadcast of an impending storm (Arashi). Part of the video was shot in Hollywood Blvd in Los Angeles. Check out the fun and very Arashi kind of song and PV below.
