This week’s episode of Bokura no Ongaku is titled “Bokura no Okinawa”, “Our Okinawa.” The performers on this week’s show are all originally from the island of Okinawa. In fact, they all even went to the same school: Okinawa Actors School. They’re also all under the same management company: Vision Factory. This school and management company have a long relationship. The performers on this show include Hiroko Shimabukuro & Eriko Imai of SPEED, MAX, and Daichi Miura.
Earlier this week, the newest Doraemon film “STAND BY ME Doraemon” was released to theaters nationwide. And as expected, it was met with a positive reaction from the general public as a nostalgic, heartfelt coming of age story.

This is the festival’s 13th year and will be held outside of Japan for the first time. The event will be held in Taiwan and Singapore with the theme of “Taking Japanese Entertainment to Asia.”

It was announced that Sexy Zone’s Nakajima Kento (20) will be starring in TV Asahi’s drama ‘Kurofuku Monogatari’ (Tales of Black Suit), to broadcast in October (23:15, Friday).
The story is based from Kurashiona Ryou‘s original manga and tells the story of Ogawa Akira (Nakajima), a ronin preparing to take an entrance exam for medical school. He has already failed two times, but doesn’t give up because of his father who is a doctor. Unable to defeat the stress, he finds himself wandering in the streets of Tokyo when he met Kyoko, played by Sasaki Nozomi, the no.1 club hostess in Ikebukuro. Awestruck by Kyoko’s beauty, he takes a job at Kyoko’s club. A bittersweet love story between a hostess and a rookie in black suit.
Yahoo! News reports Fuji TV drama ‘FIRST CLASS‘ starring national treasure Erika Sawajiri has been renewed for a second season. In fact, it’s the fastest a drama has ever been renewed for a second season!
It takes place 6 months after where the first season took off. Chinami Yoshinari (Erika Sawajiri) has survived the cutthroat environment of the editorial team of a top fashion magazine and is ready to purse a new path in life as a fashion designer. Like the first season, she is once more the underdog, seen as beneath and less prepared compared to the rest of those in her field. Luckily, she is able to use her wisdom that she learned at her old job to persevere her way to the top.
Previously broadcast with the highest ratings within its 11:10PM time slot, this new season has been promoted to the prime 10PM Wednesday slot starting this October.

Rock band Arukara has revealed that they are set to release their 7th studio album on September 24. The album is title “CAO.” The album will come in a regular and limited edition. It will have 8 tracks. Arukara has also released the music video for the song “Abnormal ga Tarinai”, the album’s second track.
