Hitoto Yu, Naoto Inti Raymi and more for Yamapi’s new Album “You”

After airing his new music video “Your Step” which was filmed in LA, Yamashita Tomohisa announces the release of a new full album “YOU” slated for October 8. This album comes more than a year after “A NUDE” and shortly following the limited release of dance mini album “Asobi”. The new album will contain new songs. It will also include “Daite Señorita -2014 version-“, a re-arranged track of his solo debut song, and the English and Japanese version of “Your Step”, for a total of 12 tracks.

Following its predecessor, a variety of artists are again involved in the production. Participating this time are, Naoto Inti Raymi, Nanao Tavito, Jun. K (From 2PM), Hitoto Yo, Kawatani Enon (indigo la End, gesu no kiwami otome), ICEDOWN, Andy Platts (Mamas Gun), Ishizaki Huwie, STY, Koide Yuusuke (Base Ball Bear), Jeff Miyahara, banvox, Fukuhara Miho, Micro of Def Tech, Yanai Michihiko. Jun. K (From 2PM) did the music and Yamashita wrote the lyrics for the ballad “Burodia”, and Kawatani Enon for the song “Modorenai kara”.

Meet The New and Improved Team Magma & Aqua

The official website for Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire has recently been updated with further details on Team Magma and Team Aqua, the games antagonists.

In Omega Ruby your primary enemy will be Team Magma, an organization whose plot is to increase the landmass of the planet with the help of Legendary Pokemon Groudon. In Alpha Sapphire you will face Team Aqua, their goal is to increase the size of the ocean in benefit of Pokemon and plan to use Kyogre in achieving their scheme.

Koike Teppei to play L in “Death Note” Musical

It was announced that actor Koike Teppei will be playing the role of genius detective L in the musical version of “Death Note”. L is the important character that hunts down high school student Yagami Light who finds a notebook with which he can put people to death by writing their names. Matsuyama Kenichi played the same character in the movie version, sporting an unruly hair and expressionless face as the role’s characteristic. Koike had his musical debut in “Merrily We Roll Along” last year and noted that playing the character is a big challenge for him. 

AAA Releases Highlight Medley for “Gold Symphony” album

AAA will be releasing their 9th album “Gold Symphony” on October 1. The album is also in conjunction with their AAA Arena Tour 2014 -Gold Symphony-. This new album includes released singles and coupling tracks, with additional 3 new songs, for a total of 11 tracks.

For this upcoming release, a Highlight Medley was revealed featuring the new songs “SHOUT AND SHAKE,” “V.O.L”, and “autumn orange”. Check out the medley and album full tracklist below.

Superfly to perform the theme song for “Tales of Zestiria”

It has been revealed that J-pop/rock singer Superfly will be providing the theme for the video game ‘Tales of Zestiria’, the latest in the renowned ‘Tales of…’ series of games.  The song, titled ‘White Light’, is a piece of heavy rock’n roll that will get players’ blood pumping when they hear it.

‘Tales of Zestiria’ is the fifteenth game in the main Tales series line and will also serve as the 20th anniversary release for the franchise.  The game will focus on the theme of ‘passion’ and will feature a return to a more traditional fantasy setting, with dragons playing a fairly major role in the game’s plot.

‘Tales of Zestiria’ doesn’t release until January 22nd in Japan (no confirmed date for the West yet), but you can listen to a brief snippet of Superfly’s ‘White Light’ in the commercial below.

New Koda Kumi video to utilize 360-degree Oculus Rift technology

Cutting-edge Artiste Koda Kumi is preparing the release of her new song and video ‘Dance In The Rain‘.

Kumi is taking this new release to the next level. It will include an “experience-based 360-degree music cideo” that makes use of the latest advances in technology like 3D Sound and Oculus Rift. Considered the future of visual entertainment, Oculus Rift is a virtual reality head-mounted display that has not been released yet to the public, projected to be available April 2015.

From September 18 to 21, the video will be shown at TENT LONDON, one of the largest design trade shows held in London, as well as at TOKYO DESIGNERS WEEK from October 25 to November 3 in Tokyo.

ONE OK ROCK’s documentary to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray disc

It has been revealed that ONE OK ROCK’s documentary film ‘FOOL COOL ROCK! ONE OK ROCK DOCUMENTARY FILM‘ will be released on DVD and Blu-Ray disc on November 12th.

The film followed their ‘Who are we?? Who are you??‘ tour in Europe and Asia and had a limited 3-week theater release starting May 16.

During filming, director Hiroyuki Nakano took inspiration from his favorite manga beck ‘BECK‘, a story about a boring young boy whose life gets turned upside down after he becomes friends with a wild American boy in a rock-and-roll band. Nakano wrote:

Negoto have once again teamed up with Jun Tamukai, winner of many awards as the mastermind behind most of Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s music videos and commercials who recently did QURULI’s video for ‘Liberty&Gravity’.
