Golden Bomber’s Kiryuuin Sho has gained some attention for revealing his “Shocking Gakuran [Japanese school uniform for boys] Figure” on his personal blog on the 15th of this month.

Akai Koen releases album trailer

As previously reported, all-girl band Akai Koen is set to release their new album “Moretsu Rythmique” on September 24. This will be the band’s second full album. Today, Akai Koen released a trailer for the album. In the trailer, you can hear snippets of all 15 tracks on “Moretsu Rythmique.” Check it out after the jump!

Kaela Kimura announces new single

Kaela Kimura has announced that she is set to release her 21st single. The single is titled “TODAY IS A NEW DAY.” It will be released on October 22. “TODAY IS A NEW DAY” is described as a speedy rock song. Frequent collaborator Shinobu Watanabe of the band ASPARAGUS composed the song. A live clip of the new single has also been released on Kaela’s official YouTube channel. The clip is from a performance of the song which was shot at “TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION 2014 AUTUMN / WINTER” at Saitama Super Arena on September 6. It was  The limited edition of the single has a DVD of live footage and back stage scenes from Kaela’s recent performances at this past summer’s various rock festivals. Tourists upset over Arashi concert; call it “psychological torture”, “awful”

Despite Arashi boosting Hawaii’s local economy during their concert stint there this weekend, vacationers who had never even heard of the group have said they dominated their stay at the Ko’olina resort.

Hawaii’s KITV4 reports that guests at the Marriott, one of the three resorts at the Ko’olina resort community just a few hundred yards from the temporary concert stage, approached the TV station to voice their complaints about the events surrounding their two concerts, including constant sound checks and rowdy fans. The guests in the newscast commented on their experience, “It’s like psychological torture. It’s what you’d do to a prisoner to make them crazy“, “It’s the same song over and over“, “To say the least — awful, I guess is the best word.

In an area that is considered to be the quiet side of Hawaii, the guests heard the music from their rooms, at the pool, and one guest (pictured above) reports he still heard it underwater while snorkeling.

Arashi celebrates 15th Anniversary in Hawaii & boosts local economy

Arashi held two 15th anniversary concerts on September 19th and 20th in Hawaii. This was special for the group, because they debuted in Hawaii in September 1999.

Every 50 minutes, vehicles from Honolulu brought excited fans to the high class Ko Olina Resort to get their Arashi fever on.

Each day attracted 15,000 fans and Arashi made a grand entrance to their concerts by flying in on a helicopter. Kazunari Ninomiya (31) screamed out to the fans, “Arashi has arrived!”. The unit performed their debut song “A-RA-SHI” and other hit songs that they’ve made over the past 15 years. They even performed with a Hawaiian band as the sun set behind them. The enormous production is something fans who attended the event will never forget.

Juri Ueno meets Korean “Nodame Cantabile” Shim Eun Kyung

Korea will be running its own adaptation of the beloved manga and Japanese series “Nodame Cantabile“. Actress Shim Eun Kyung who plays Nae-il, the Korean version of Nodame, met Juri Ueno, the Japanese female lead of the said series. The two had the chance to meet as part of the 10th Anniversary Korea-Japan Festival 2014 in Seoul. The drama production company behind the remake, Group Eight, released a photo of the two together.

In regards to the Korean version, she reportedly said

“I don’t think I can set any expectations for it. I just can’t wait to see it.”

“I heard Shim Eun Kyung is currently the same age as I was while filming ‘Nodame,’ and this is her first lead role in a drama. She is in a similar situation as I was, and I hope she enjoys success through the drama. I heard Korean actors have strong mind control when it comes to challenges. I believe the cast is perfectly fit for the drama.”

The Korean version “Tomorrow Cantabile”  will be airing at KBS2 starting October.
