Did a Bunch of Johnny’s Talents Gather to Celebrate Johnny Kitagawa’s Birthday?

On October 23, Johnny Kitagawa celebrated his 83rd birthday. Throughout the day, fans sents words of gratitude to President Johnny, the one who birthed Johnny’s. One after the other, messages giving blessings such as “Happy birthday Johnny-san!” and “Please live long!” also came in. Amidst this, a lot of Johnny’s talents were spotted in Shibuya, causing fans to wonder “Was that Johnny-san’s birthday party?”

FLOWER FLOWER to Release Debut Album “Mi”

FLOWER FLOWER has announced the release of its debut album “Mi” on November 26. This is also the band’s first physical release as their previous single releases were all digital. The album will include “Tsuki”, theme song song for au’s commercial, and “Subarashii Sekai”, the theme song for TV Tokyo’s “Tamagawa Kuyakusho OF THE DEAD”.

In addition, a new song will be available for digital download every week from Oct 29th till Nov 26th starting with Toumei na Uta.

Limited Edition DVD includes footage from 2013’s Inko no Mure Tour at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO.

Creephyp releases pv for “Hyakuhachi Yen no Koi”

As previously reported, Creephyp is set to release their new single “Hyakuhachi Yen no Koi” on November 5. They will follow this up with their new album “Hitotsu ni Narenai nara, Semete Futatsu Dakede Iyou” on December 3. The band has now released the music video for “Hyakuhachi Yen no Koi.” The video was directed by frequent collaborator Matsui Daigo and was shot using 8mm film. A special site has been opened for the single which you can see here. “Hyakuhachi Yen no Koi” is the theme song for the movie “Hyaku Yen no Koi”, which is currently showing at The Tokyo International Film Festival. The movie is about a slacker whose domestic issues cause her to leave home, leading her to find love. moumoon sings “BF” for “Dear Sister” Drama

moumoon’s new song “BF”, which stands for “Best Friend” is currently being used as insert song for FUJI TV’s Dear Sister drama starring Ishihara Satomi and Matsushima Nao. As previously reportedChe’Nelle is providing the theme song “Happiness” for the drama.

The song “BF” emphasizes the relationship of the sisters in the drama. The song is written from the perspective of a girl who is very happy to have her best friend who is always there by her side. Actually, most of the lyrics are in English and the song pumps a cheerful chorus with the lines “Everytime, I’ll be here, right beside you, because you’ll always be there for me, too”

Koda Kumi Takes A Cute Selfie With Jessie J

Jessie J is currently in Japan promoting her latest album “Sweet Talker”. During promos she ran into Koda Kumi and the two took a selfie together, which was posted on Kumi’s official facebook account.

Kumi gushed about how cute Jessie is in person and encouraged fans to give her new album a listen. “Bang Bang” which features Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj stood out to her the most, praising the songs catchy melody and strong vocals.

This is the first time the two singers met, but they do have a history with each other. Jessie J was responsible for creating the song “V.I.P”, which appeared on Kumi’s 2012 album “JAPONESQUE”. Kumi has worked with many oversea acts such as Fergie, Show Luo, Sean Paul, and Tohoshinki. Would you like to see her collab with Jessie J in the future?

Female Hip-Hop Group S7ICK CHICKs to Release First Album

It was recently revealed that all-female rap group, S7ICK CHICKs would be releasing their first album. The album is titled “LIPS7ICK” and will be released on December 3rd.

S7ICK CHICKs is five member group consisting of 4 MCs and one singer. The group consists of AYA a.k.a PANDA, LIPSTORM, AYA, CASPER and FUZIKO. The group original had 7 members, but 2 that left after the first official single. While each member were active in their respective solo work they came together to feature on ISH-ONE’s “NEW MONEY female remix”. They became an official group with their first single “DROP GEM ON YA” that was produced ISH-ONE’s TEAM2MVCH. This song will also be featured on their album.
