Young up-and-coming rock band LAMP IN TERREN have just revealed the music video for their newest song “Ryokusenkou” (“Green Flash”), and what a beautiful pairing they are. The PV finds this slow-burning ballad set to scenes of the band playing on a lantern-lit beach with the lights of a nearby city just over the horizon, all of this luminescence blurring together to form a brilliant collage of colors.
“Ryokusenkou” is the lead track off of the band’s major debut album “silver lining”, which is set to release next month on January 14th on Amuse’s A-Sketch record label. While there appear to be no plans to tour for the release at the moment, LAMP IN TERREN are set to hold a live performance two days after the album’s release at the LIQUIDROOM with fellow label-mates THE ORAL CIGARETTES and Frederic.
You’ll find the music video for “Ryokusenkou” and the full track list for “silver lining” right after the jump, so please don’t hesitate to read on.
The live action film adaptation of Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan has released the first poster for its upcoming two part movie. The images were also released through the movie’s official website. In addition, the Colossal Titan’s size has been revealed and teased in the new poster.
In the original manga and anime, an archetypal colossal Titan was about 60 meters (about 200 feet) tall. The film will double their size, and will measure 120 meters (about 400 feet or 30 stories) tall, towering over even the 108-meter (350-foot) height of the tallest Godzilla ever, from the recent 2014 Godzilla film by Garth Edwards.
The live-action film will not just employ CG, but also tokusatsu (special-effects) techniques to create its realistic colossal Titan.

Yesterday rock band Mr.Children revealed that they’re in the process of producing a documentary film titled “Mr.Children REFLECTION”, which is set to open in Japanese theaters (in 4K resolution) on February 7th of next year. The film will focus on the limited series of fan club lives that the band carried out in September and October in honor of the club’s 21st anniversary.
This tour differed from the more typical live outings that Mr.Children go on in that the vast majority of the songs performed were unreleased and had never been played for anyone outside of the recording studio prior to these shows. The band was eager to share these songs with their most devoted fans, and are now just as eager to share seven of these unreleased tracks with the rest of Japan.
To coincide with this announcement, the band has also uploaded a trailer for the documentary to their official Youtube channel, which you’ll find right after the cut.
Earlier today, legendary French fashion house Christian Dior held its Pre-Fall 2015 fashion show in Tokyo. This is the first time that Dior has ever held a show for its pre-fall collection. Pre-fall is the season that comes after the standard spring/summer season but before the standard fall/winter season.
Tokyo was chosen due to Dior’s longtime relationship with Japan. Christian Dior himself was inspired by Japan in his childhood in France by the decor of his family home. In the early 1950s, he designed a collection using fabric from a famous Kyoto textile company. Around the same time, the Daimaru department stores in the Kansai region began selling his designs. The House of Dior, at this time headed by Yves Saint Laurent, designed a series of dresses for the civil part of current Empress Michiko’s 1959 wedding to the current emperor, Akihito.
Currently, Dior is head by Raf Simons. Back in the 1990s when Simons first started out designing, as a menswear designer, the Japanese were among his first customers. Today, he launched his Pre-Fall 2015 collection at Kokugikan, which is normally used for sumo wrestling. Several celebrities were in attendance. Check out who attended after the jump!
