KOHH Releases PV for “Where You At”

On New Year’s Day, KOHH released his album “Kuchinashi Ko.” He has now released the music video for album’s second track, “Where You At.” The song and video find KOHH in a much softer mode than usual. He does keep his edge however. In light of the attention he has recently received from Western hip hop circles, he’s also also uploaded an English subbed version of the music video for his 2013 song, “Junji Takada.” “Junji Takada” was originally on his “YELLOW TAPE 2” mixtape, but can also be found on “Kuchinashi Ko.” Check out both videos after the jump!

ANGERME strives to be number one in Hello! Project

ANGERME went to Atago Shrine in Tokyo to pray for the success of their latest hit “Taiki Bansei / Otome no Gyakushuu”, which was released on February 4th.

Formerly known as S/mileage up until last December, the group just added members for the third generation last October. The release of their new single marks the starting point of new changes for the group. Besides their wishes to become successful, Ayaka Wada, the group’s leader, wished to have more concert tours, to perform at Budoukan again, and to become number one in Hello! Project.

Full Trailer for  ‘Assassination Classroom‘ Live-Action Movie

The full trailer has been released for Hasumi Eiichiro’s live-action adaptation of popular manga series ‘Assassination Classroom‘ starring Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yamada Ryosuke. More of the live-action version’s CG rendering of Koro-sensei are featured in the trailer. The official posters are also out.

Joining Yamada are Shiina Kippei as a skilled government agent named Karasuma Tadaomi who’s sent to supervise Koro-sensei, Suda Masaki as a violent class E student named Akabane Karma who’s especially proficient at surprise attacks, Kang Ji Young as a professional assassin and foreign language teacher Irina Jelavic, Yamamoto Maika as Kayano Kaeda,Taketomi Seika as Nakamura Rio, Yuki Mio as Kanzaki Yukiko, and Uehara Miku as Okuda Manami.

Soundscan Chart for the Week of 1/26 – 2/1

On the single side, 2PM topped the chart with “Guilty Love”, with its CD only edition selling 53,977 copies. Between its 3 editions, the single sold 90,598, making it the best selling single this week.

On the album side, Sandaime J Soul Brothers topped the chart with “PLANET SEVEN”, with its CD+2DVD edition selling 257,824 copies. It was the top selling album this week, selling 415,036 copies in total between its 4 editions. These 4 editions took the top 4 spots on the chart.

The Orcicon physical music sales chart for the week of 1/26-2/01 has been released!

Coming at the top of the singles chart is the 9th single released by 2PM entitled “Guilty Love”, selling 98,496 copies. For the albums chart, Sandaime J Soul Brothers‘ fifth studio album PLANET SEVEN pushed a massive 508,337 units in its first week.

Finalists Announced for The 7th CD Shop Awards 2015

The 7th CD Shop Awards 2015 have selected their 10 finalists for this year’s grand prize. The top 10 were selected from a pool of 20 albums, 10 albums from the first half of 2014 and another 10 from the second half of the year. Voting for the top 10 took place from January 8 to January 18. The award ceremony will take place in early March. Find out what albums made the cut after the jump!

tricot to Release New Single and Album

All-girl band tricot have 2 releases coming up over the next 2 months. The first one is their new single, “E.” “E” will be released on February 18. On the 18th of the following month, the band will release their album “AND.” The album will have 12 tracks, including the singles “Break” and “E.” The band hasn’t had a permanent drummer since Kazutaka Komaki left the band last year. To fill the void, several different drummers will be working on the album, including Hata Toshiki (formerly of Tokyo Jihen) and Wakiyama Kosuke (tabaccojuice). Music Video for Namie Amuro’s Collaboration with Jolin Tsai Finally Released

On November 15 of last year, Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai released her latest album “PLAY.” On the album, she has a song titled “I’m Not Yours”, which features Namie Amuro. Photos and video from the music video shoot have been making the rounds online for weeks, building anticipation for the song’s music video. The music video has now been released ahead of Jolin’s album’s re-release on February 6. Check it out after the jump!
