NEWS Releases “WHITE” Album Previews and Details

The new album of NEWS titled “WHITE” will be released on February 25, and the group has given a preview to their “MR. WHITE” Film and released more album information. Aside from released singles and CM song NYARO, the album also includes Ai Kotoba, their anniversary song, with lyrics, music and arrangement by NEWS. New solo songs are also included.

For the film story, NEWS becomes heroes in order to save the children who were dragged into the world of darkness of the Internet, receive an instruction from the mysterious boss: “MR.WHITE”. The story draft is written by member Kato Shigeaki & clothing design by Masuda Takahisa .

Goto Maki  holds wedding ceremony

Former Morning Musume ace Goto Maki (29) has finally held her wedding ceremony after a half a year of registering for marriage with her husband.

The couple had previously begun dating several years ago and rekindled their flame the summer before last. He is with a non-celebrity 3 years her junior from her hometown and is who Goto attributes to re-jumpstarting her career after a series of tragedies within her family.

Sonar Pocket Releases “My Honey” Music Video

Three-member group Sonar Pocket has released the music video for their latest song “My Honey”. The song is from their upcoming 5th studio album “Sonapokeism 5 -Egao no Riyu.-“, scheduled to be released on February 25. The music video follows the usual story-themed videos of the group, and “My Honey” PV focuses on a couple and follows them up until their wedding day.

Petition Started To Urge Fuji-TV Not to Air Blackface Minstrel Show

Last week we reported on popular J-pop group, Momoiro Clover Z, donning blackface in a special collaboration with notorious doo-wop, blackface group, Rats & Star.

The collaboration in question is set to air on March 7th, on Fuji-TV’s Music Fair. However many have found the situation to be offensive and racist to black people, considering the history behind blackface. As a result, the tweet gained traction as many (such as New York Times reporter Hiroko Tabuchi and Wired writer Daniel Feit) criticized both groups. Momoiro Clover Z cancelled a promotion they were supposed to have with the Foreign Correspondents Club of Japan. Despite that, anough an official apology was not issued.

Little Glee Monster release short video for “Seishun Photograph”

Vocal group Little Glee Monster has released a short video clip for new song “Seishun Photograph” to their official YouTube Channel.

Made in cooperation with Nakamura Junior and Senior Girls’ High School in Koto-ku, Tokyo, thetrack is meant to serve as a graduation song. Shots of actual students lives were incorporated into the video along with scenes of the Little Glee Monster members filmed with a selfie stick.

“Parasyte: The Final Chapter” Streams new trailer

Following the release of the first Parasyte (Kiseijuu) movie last November 29 comes “Parasyte: The Final Chapter”. The trailer for the second part of the two-part Parasyte live-action film series, directed by Yamazaki Takashi has been released. The movie opens on April 25.

Parasyte: The Final Chapter focuses on Izumi Shinichi’s (Sometani Shota) and “Migi” as they must fight Goto, the “perfect creation” by Tamura Reiko.

KAT-TUN’s Premium Show for SCP and “KISS KISS KISS” single details

KAT-TUN’s Premium show this week for Shounen Club Premium starts with Nakamaru Yuichi’s beatbox partnered with Taguchi Junnosuke’s dance, followed by KAT-TUN’S STOMP and a performance of their recent songs, BLACK, BREAK UR CAGE, and MY EVERY TIME.

In addition, new details regarding their new single “KISS KISS KISS” has been released. The unit songs are titled Kirarito (Taguchi Junnosuke and Nakamaru Yuichi) and Arigatou (Kamenashi Kazuya and Ueda Tatsuya) with the members writing the lyrics for their songs. The single drops March 11.
