Check out previews of Eikura Nana’s newest photobook “Four Seasons”

Actress Eikura Nana is set to release her new photobook titled “Four Seasons”, after 3 and a half years, on March 17.

This time, Eikura herself selected the photos and themes used in the book. The photobook consists of four parts: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The pictures for spring is taken by Nakamura Kazutaka, Andy Chao for summer, Tommy for autumn and Shintsubo Kenshu for winter. Released after 3 years, this has become a book that clearly reflects the growth and identity of Eikura.

To celebrate the publication, a handshake meeting will be held in Kinokuniya Shinjuku, Tokyo on March 21. Check out some released shots below.

Suzu feels the breeze of spring with “Nijiro Color” music video

The Okinawan singer songwriter, Suzu, is back with her third single “Nijiro Color”, which she wrote as theme song for the TBS drama “Onna Kudoki Meshi” starring Shihori Kanjiya. The lyrics of the song expresses the feelings of working women, urging them to keep trying their best. The single will be released on March 18.

Earlier this month, the singer celebrated her first anniversary since her major debut via a live event in Shibuya. It was also announced that she will be releasing her first album “Mirai Chizu” (Map of the Future) in May.

The music video for Suzu’s latest song imbibes the refreshing breeze of the spring season, as she walks around the city while listening to music and playing her guitar. Check out her newest lighthearted song below.

“The Eternal Zero”, Okada Junichi win big at the 38th Japan Academy Awards

“The Eternal Zero” was the biggest winner at the 38th Japan Academy Awards ceremony held last February 27 at the Minato Grand Prince Hotel (broadcasted in NTV), scooping 8 top prizes including Best Picture. It’s also a huge win for Okada Junichi, who won Best Actor for his role in “The Eternal Zero” and Best Supporting Actor for the movie “A Samurai Chronicle”. He is the first male actor to win two Japan Academy acting honors.

Yamazaki Takashi won Best Director for “The Eternal Zero”. In addition, the movie also won Best Cinematography, Best Lighting Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Sound Recording, and Best Film Editing.

Miyazawa Rie won Best Actress for her role in Pale Moon. Miyazawa was only able to attend the opening stages so Yoshida Daihachi, director of the movie, accepted the award on her behalf.

Stephanie confirmed as 4th member of Armenia’s group for Eurovision 2015

The rumors from a couple week ago of Japanese-Armenian singer Stephanie Topalian participating in Armenia’s 2015 Eurovision Song Contest submission are confirmed!

Armenian Public TV Company announced their submission will be uniting the new generation of Armenians spread through 5 continents (Europe, Asia, America, Africa, and Australia) around the world in the year of 1915. The group consists of 6 artists with Armenian origin – 6 destinies with 1 story.

Stephanie will join Tamar Kaprelian, Vahe Tilbian, Essaï Altounian and two unannounced members in a newly-formed co-ed group called Genealogy that will represent Armenia in the popular song competition. Their song is a pop number called “Don’t Deny“.
