SPYAIR’s action and CG-filled music video for “ROCKIN’ OUT”

SPYAIR’s 15th single “ROCKIN’ OUT” will be released on March 25. The single will also include a live track of “GLORY,” performed for the first time at their concert “SPYAIR LIVE 2014 – Fukkatsu” held at Zepp DiverCity Tokyo on December 30, 2014.

The music video for “ROCKIN’ OUT” has been released. The action filled video employs a lot of CG featuring a futuristic city set in 2100. Vocalist IKE also gets on a motorcycle and engages in a battle. Check out their latest video, which represents their attitude toward the future, below.

Abe Hiroshi co-stars with One Piece’s Luffy in a drama special

It was announced by FUJI TV that its semi annual omnibus drama Yo nimo Kimyo na Monogatari (Tales of the Unusual) will feature a collaboration with a popular anime for the 25th anniversary of the program, which first aired on April 19, 1990. The April 11 crossover episode stars Abe Hiroshi and the character Luffy from the One Piece manga and anime.

The special is tentatively titled Yo nimo Kimyo na Monogatari 25-Shunen Special Haru ~Ninki Manga-ka Kyoen-hen (Tales of the Unusual 25th Anniversary Special: Popular Manga Creator Competition), and Luffy will appear in a segment titled “The Gum-Gum Man” in the special. Luffy will appear in CG alongside Abe , who first appeared on the show in 1991.

Watch the dance battle between Mizuhara Kiko and Eita for Edwin Jerseys CM

Actor Eita and model/actress Mizuhara Kiko engaged in a dance battle for the new EDWIN Jerseys commercial. Set in a warehouse stage, the respective teams of the two battled it out on the dance floor, with Mizuhara showing off her brilliant dance in a stiletto.

The CM is directed by Yoshida Daihachi, who won the Japan Academy Award Outstanding Director Award for the movie “Paper Moon”. The CM starts airing March 10.

THE TURTLES JAPAN release colorful and phantasmal PV for “Kazabana”

Crossover band THE TURTLES JAPAN is a rather interesting collaborative project; composed of famous record producer and bassist Kameda Seiji, flumpool’s vocalist (Yamamura Ryuta) and guitarist (Sakai Kazuki), Remioromen’s drummer (Jinguji Osamu), and pianist and keyboardist Isogai Simon, the group has come together to produce a unique brand of music influenced by different kinds of electronic sounds.

The band started off their activities by releasing their first single “It’s Alright!” last year on November 19th and are now set to release their first full album “ELECTRONIC HUMANITY” on April 8th of this year.  Ahead of this release, they’ve now revealed the music video for its lead track “Kazabana”, which features the band performing the lonely electronic tune amidst an otherworldly landscape of neon-bleeding blackness.

Kobukuro reveal emotional and immersive Music Video for “Kiseki”

Famous folk-pop duo Kobukuro recently released their latest single “Kiseki” this past week on March 4th.  Now the group have finally decided to publish the full music video for the release’s lead track to Warner Music Japan’s official Youtube channel.

This technology infused PV follows the lives of various individuals going through hardships, with Kobukuro’s song helping them to push past their worries and keep going.  Also included on this new single are the grand ballad “Twilight” and the rollicking mid-tempo track “Shin Kokyuu”, which were part of Kobukuro’s previous song release project (though this is the first time that the songs have seen a physical release).

Perfume To Release New Single

On April 29, Perfume is set to release their new single “Relax In The City / Pick Me Up.” This will be the group’s first single of 2015, the 10th anniversary of their major label debut. “Relax In The City” will be the CM song for the beverage Sapporo Green Aroma. That CM will debut on March 10. “Pick Me Up” will also have a tie-in but that tie-in has not yet been announced.

This single will come in 3 editions. There will be 2 limited editions and a regular edition. The first limited edition is the Relax Room edition. It is a cube and inside that cube is the CD, the DVD, and a 40 page photobook. The other limited edition has a 2-way sleeve case and a 16 page photobook along the the CD and DVD. Details on the regular edition have yet to be announced.

Gay Manga Artist Jiraiya to Tour the US

From March 17 – 28, gay manga artist Jiraiya will be having a cross-country tour of the United States. Known for his erotic drawings of large, musclebound men, these will also be his first public appearances, since he likes to keep his identity a secret. Tour stops include the cities of Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. During these stops, he will be holding speaking engagements and signings. There will be multiple events in each city and the locations will range from a university in Los Angeles to a museum in San Francisco to a clothing store in New York.
