E-girls’ member Ami will be releasing her solo debut single “Dress wo Nuida Cinderella” (Cinderella Took Off Her Dress) on July 29 under the name “Dream Ami”.
The PV for the medium tempo love ballad has the concept of ‘the transition of a woman in love’. Her worldview is portrayed with the colors blue, white, and pink to represent rapidly changing feelings. Check out her new music video and single covers below.
A photo of AKB48’s Kashiwagi Yuki who ranked 2nd on the recently held AKB48 general election, in an embrace with NEWS Tegoshi Yuya, was published by Shukan Bunshun.
It is quite clear with the photos that the two have an intimate relationship. The man in yukata embraces Kashiwagi, and the two faces the camera holding a peace sign. According Shukan Bunshun, the photo was taken from fall of 2013 to early 2014.
“The place is in a luxury hotel inn in Hakone, which a lot celebrities also visit. The two are still friendly and talk over LINE.”, according to an acquaintance of Kashiwagi.
No replies from their agencies were obtained.
During a January livestream, Sakanaction’s leader Ichiro Yamaguchi revealed that the band’s bassist, Ami Kusakari, had married a non-celebrity man sometime in 2014 and had become pregnant. Ami gave birth to a girl on June 5. Ichiro revealed the happy news today on the band’s TOKYO FM radio show “Sakana LOCKS!”, which he hosts. Ichiro said that Ami expressed thanks and that she will continue to work hard.
In light of Ami’s pregnancy, Sakanaction entered a “stable period” in which they didn’t conduct any live activities. They also had no releases, their last release being the single “Sayonara wa Emotion / Hasu no Hana” in October of last year. Ichiro did say though that the band would continue with the production of their new album. Now that Ami’s given birth, Sakanaction has announced their new tour, SAKANAQUARIUM2015-2016. The tour starts in early October and continues til the end of January. With this tour, Sakanaction hopes to gather 100,000 attendees. Check out the tour dates after the jump!
Ai Otsuka is preparing for her new tour, LOVE TRiCKY LIVE TOUR 2015, which starts this weekend. She has given fans a peak into the rehearsals for the tour with a unique video. Ai recently released a video in which she and her band practice the song “MOONLIGHT.” “MOONLIGHT” was released under Ai’s “LOVE” moniker in 2009 and then covered by her band Rabbit in 2012. This video utilizes technology which allow viewers to see the practice in a 360° perspective. It’s like the viewer is standing in the middle of a circle, with Ai and her band playing around them. Early last month we reported that popular jazz/hip-hop band Gesu no Kiwami Otome. would be releasing their third single on June 17th. Now, just ahead of this date, the group have published the full PV for its lead track “Romance ga Ariamaru” to their official Youtube channel.
The music video was shot in a monochrome visual style and features the members of the band both playing their instruments and taking part in several different stop-motion scenes separated by a spinning wall. Some of the particularly notable scenes involve a pair of dueling pianos and the group’s two female members firing beams of energy at each other.

Up-and-coming singer/songwriter Kamikita Ken has announced that he will be making his major debut with Victor Entertainment by releasing his first full album “SCOOP” on September 9th. Kamikita first gained fame as the utaite “KK” and has now decided that he wants to write and produce music under his own name.
In conjunction with this announcement, Kamikita has also opened his own official Youtube channel and uploaded the music video for SCOOP’s lead track “Mist”. The PV finds him performing the song on an acoustic guitar while underneath a multitude of obscuring effects which hide his face from view.

On the single side, Kanjani8 topped the chart with “Tsuyoku Tsuyoku Tsuyoku”, with its CD+DVD Limited Edition selling 85,502 copies. The 2 editions of this single took the top 2 spots on the chart. Between these 2 editions, “Tsuyoku Tsuyoku Tsuyoku” sold 138,929 copies, making it the best selling single this week.
On the album side, Mr.Children took the top spot with “REFLECTION”, with its {Drip} CD+DVD Limited Edition selling 173,649 copies. The 3 editions of this album took the top 3 spots on the chart. Between these 3 editions, “REFLECTION” sold 350530 copies, making it the best selling album this week.
