On July 3, “THE MUSIC DAY” will air, featuring performances by the likes of Snow Man, Official HIGE DANdism, Aimyon, Hoshino Gen, Nogizaka46, and EXILE.

Several new performers have been added to the lineup including Perfume, Ami Suzuki, Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, Kyary Pamyu Pamyu, Koda Kumi, and DISH//. Okamura Takako will also make her first TV appearance since 2019, after a period of rest due to acute myeloid leukemia. See who else was added below!

On June 29, (also Snow Man Raul’s 18th birthday), a special collaboration MV featuring “Honey Lemon Soda” movie trailer and its theme song “HELLO HELLO” is released!

Based on Murata Mayu’s manga, Raul stars in the movie as Miura Kai, a guy with lemon colored hair while Yoshikawa Ai plays the heroine Ishimori Uka. “HELLO HELLO” is sung by Snow Man and is the group’s first pop love song since debut. The single will be released on July 14.

The promotions for the movie is going all out now as it prepares to open nationwide on July 9. For the promo, a Raul-cover-festival has been ongoing as he graced the covers of every other magazine there is! Check out snippets of the covers, the special MV and trailer released below.

Sexy Zone’s Nakajima Kento and Koshiba Fuka play double leads in the upcoming summer drama “Kanojo wa Kireidatta”, a remake of the romcom Korean drama “She Was Pretty”. Stay tuned as it airs on July 6, 2021, 9pm at Fuji TV. Sexy Zone’s new single “Natsu no Hydrangea” serves as the theme song and will be released on August 4.

For the drama, Nakajima Kento has created an Instagram account under his drama character Hasebe Sosuke, chief editor of fashion magazine, “The Most”. You can also check out the trailer uploaded in this account.

Popular actor Toma Ikuta is the latest Johnny’s talent to join the social media platform Instagram! His very first post a simple short video where he can be seen standing in front of a garden.

The video has white text that reads “Toka Ikuta meets Instagram”, the text box simply reads “Hello Instagram” in both English and Japanese. Ikuta is currently very active in films, theater performances, and dramas so fans are very excited as to what his future posts will entail. Many are hoping hoping for BTS shots and short glimpses into his personal life.

Earlier in the month on Instagram singer Hikaru Utada made a post where they took on gendered titles. In the post they shared that they were quite annoyed with being asked if they wanted to be called “Miss/Mrs/Ms”. Their full statement was as follows:

I’m sick of being asked if I’m “Miss or Missus” or choosing between “Miss/Mrs/Ms” for everyday things. It makes me uncomfortable to be identified so markedly by my marital status or sex, and I don’t relate to any of those prefixes. Every time, I feel like I’m forced to misrepresent myself. I long for an alternative option, one that anybody of any gender or social standing could use.

…After writing thus far I looked it up and discovered that “Mx.” (pronounced as “mix”) has been suggested! That’s awesome and I hope it becomes more widely used. I’m afraid my idea for a neutral prefix has come too late…
