It was announced that popular shoujo manga by Hatta Ayuko, “Ookami Shoujo to Kuro Ouji” (Wolf Girl & Black Prince) will be getting a live action adaptation, scheduled for May of next year. A teaser has been released to introduce the main cast and director.

Nikaido Fumi is playing the heroine Shinohara Erika, while Yamazaki Kento is playing Sata Kyoya. Hiroki Ryuichi, who directed live action film Strobe Edge, is directing the film. Shooting for the film will run from December to January.

As earlier reported, EXILE TRIBE will be launching “HiGH & LOW”, a comprehensive entertainment project that encompasses various forms of content media. In summary, this includes a movie release at its core, a drama adaptation, manga adaptation, an original album, and a live show tour from EXILE TRIBE. The drama’s official website has been updated with details.

Aside from the members of EXILE TRIBE, other cast for its drama has been announced. Kyoko Koizumi, YOU, Masataka Kubota, Kento Hayashi, Taichi Saotome, Kaname Endo, Yuya Endo, Yuki Yamada, Ryohei Abe, Tasuku Nagase and others, will join in.

The 4 members of Golden Bomber will also make their first regular appearance in a drama this time. Tatsuya Nakamura, who has been active as the drummer of BLANKEY JET CITY and has given performances in many films and TV dramas as an actor, will also appear in this drama. Ayumu Kato from Zabunguru and Kana Oya will act in this drama, too.

The Oricon physical music sales charts for the week of 09/14-09/20 have been released!

GENERATIONS from EXILE TRIBE’s latest single “ALL FOR YOU” tops the singles ranking with over 150’000 copies sold in its first week. This is the first time the group has topped this chart as well as a new personal record in sales.

Vocal and dance unit AAA dominates the album chart with their best album “AAA 10th ANNIVERSARY BEST” (85,646 copies sold). This exceeds the first week sales of “#AAABEST”, their previous best album.

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu is known for attracting immense support from people in their 10s to 20s with her unique Harajuku-kei fashion and techno pop music produced by no other than Yasutaka Nakata.

However, as of recently, it seems that she is aiming for a change regarding her future activities as an artist.

She had her major debut in 2011 and was even able to perform at “Kouhaku Uta Gassen”, but as expected from someone her age, she also has to think about the inevitable future and adult matters.

It was announced during the final episode of Charlotte, that Key’s visual novel Rewrite will be receiving a TV anime adaptation.  No date as to which season or year it will air in.

The news of Arashi’s Ohno Satoshi being in a live-in relationship with a former actress 10 years his junior brought a shock to the Japanese entertainment world. Many fans were quick to show support, but many other fans were also against the relationship. Various hashtags in relation to the scandal began to trend on Twitter. The social media accounts of Ohno’s alleged girlfriend, Natsume Suzu, were inspected with great detail by fans of Ohno, the point of even discovering evidence in the reflection in her pet pug’s eye. Ohno ultimately denied the relationship and stated that he never lived with her, and that he would never be seeing her again. Both Ohno and the fan’s reaction to the scandal caused much debate in how much freedom Johnny’s idols had in being able to pursue relationships. However, Ohno Satoshi is not the only Johnny to be discovered to be dating this year. In fact, quite a few have had their relationships made public. 

Tonight, HEY! HEY! NEO! premiered its first episode. It is a spinoff of the popular music show HEY! HEY! HEY! MUSIC CHAMP, which went off the air in 2012. Like its predecessor, this show is hosted by Downtown. HEY! HEY! NEO! will focus on newer acts.
