In the span out less than a week this past July, Cornelius was named as one of the composers of the music for the Opening Ceremony of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, apologized for his bullying history, and resigned from his post.

Now that the Olympics are over, Cornelius wants to set the record straight. Earlier today, he released a statement, in both Japanese and English, clarifying what really happened. Check it out below!

On September 15, Takanori Iwata of Sandaime J Soul Brothers will make his solo debut, with the single “korekara.” The single will contain three jazzy / chill pop songs. The single’s cover is based on one of Takanori’s oil painting.

Johnny & Associates continues to venture into the online world! Today, Hey! Say! JUMP‘s Ryosuke Yamada opened his own gaming YouTube channel, “LEO no Asobiba ‘Yamada Ryosuke’.”

Today’s debut video served as intro to the channel. During the video, Ryosuke annouced that on September 17 at 10 PM JST, he will play the game “Apex Legends” live on his channel, along with HIKAKIN and VTuber Shibuya Hal.

Snow Man member Ren Meguro is the cover boy for the 819th issue of the fitness magazine Tarzan, out September 22.

Ren is currently developing his body through home workouts, under the guidance of his group mate, “muscle training specialist” Hikaru Iwamoto. He took on the challenge of doing the Tarzan shoot, which had the concept of working out. Ren’s ten page, 20 photo shoot was shot on a hot August evening, leading him to develop a sweaty sheen over his muscles.

Tomohisa Yamashita has been appointed as the face for the cosmetics brand “HADA NATURE”, created by a popular spa brand in Japan. The image song for the advertising campaign is “Beautiful World“, the latest track from Yamapi which was just released on September 15th, 2021.
