At noon JST on July 7, “THE MUSIC DAY Tsutaetai Uta” will air. There will be peformances by the likes of Arashi, Koda Kumi, Masaharu Fukuyama, Onyanko Club, ayaka, SEKAI NO OWARI, Nogizaka46, and Sandaime J Soul Brothers.

To the delight of fans who gathered for the event, an avant-première screening of the first episode of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure’s 5th arc, Vento Aureo, was held.
Yamashita Tomohisa is resuming his music activities! After 2 years, Yamapi will be holding a nationwide tour from September and will be releasing a new album around November – December, his first original album in 4 years. This album will also be his first record to be released under Sony Music Labels Inc’s SME Records. As such, his artist profile is now up at Sony Music. Waiting fans are rewarded with an album containing all new songs. which also includes English songs. More info on the album are yet to be released.
Currently in the midst of promotion for the July 27 release of his new movie “Code Blue – Doctor Heli Kinkyuu Kyuumei ~ The Movie”, Yamashita has focused on his actor job in these past few years. In an interview, Yamashita mentioned that he was in a meeting with the music arranger for his album until 4 in the morning the other day. “I’m actively participating in the production, afterall it’s fun and I’m excited.”
In Spring this year, Yamapi traveled to the U.S. for 2 months and had the chance to visit recording studios and meet local producers. When he released his last album, he was still in his 20s. “I think there are people who have been waiting, I want to keep changing , that’s the constant. Because I have been away from music activities for a long time, my thoughts for the future are strong.
His nationwide tour will be held at 15 venues with 32 performances for 115,000 people. Check out his tour schedule below.
On July 11, Yamashita Tatsuro will release his new single, “Mirai no Theme / Uta no Kisha.” Both songs are part of Mamoru Hosoda’s new film, “Mirai no Mirai”, with the songs being the opening and ending themes, respectively. Tatsuro has now released the music video for “Mirai no Theme.” It is composed of clips from “Mirai no Mirai.” Check it out below!
After ceasing actitivies in 2012, MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS reunited in 2015. Last year, the band released their first new single since reforming, “Slow Motion Replay.” Now, MASS OF THE FERMENTING DREGS is ready to release their new album, “No New World.” Out on July 4, this is the band’s first new album since 2010’s “Zero Comma, Iro Toridori no Sekai.” The album will include the previously mentioned “Slow Motion Replay.”

On July 4, ZOMBIE-CHANG will release her new album, “PETIT PETIT PETIT.” She recently released the music video for one of the songs on the album, “Mona Lisa.” The video is set in a gym, where ZOMBIE-CHANG is working out. It then turns into a ode to France, with the French flag, as well as models of the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre (home of the Mona Lisa). Check it out below!
