DA PUMP has one of the most unexpected comebacks in the J-pop scene with the release of their single “U.S.A“. While it may have turned them into living, breathing, memes the song has turned out to be a huge success.
The single has sold well, and became a huge streaming success amassing over 54 million views on YouTube in 3 months.
Girl group CYBERJAPAN DANCERS have decided join the craze too, collaborating with avex trax to release their very own remix MV and song. In usual CYBERJAPAN DANCERS fashion the members are all dancing on a beach wearing bikinis, featuring many gratuitous shots of the members “assets”.
The website Wota in Translation has released a lengthily translation of Tsunku’s interview for Morning Musume’s 20th anniversary book.
Throughout the interview he goes in great detail about the groups history, even veering into the most “dramatic” time of the groups history. In 2004-2006 she group has plagued by multiple scandals and the graduations of many prominent members.
The magazine cover for Namie Amuro‘s cover of the Japanese edition of Vogue magazine has been released. With the star retiring next month, this will be her final cover for the magazine.
In the past Amuro has graced the cover for Vogue Taiwan.
Amuro’s photoshoot by the magazine has officially been described as “dramatic” and “cool”, showing off her mysterious charm. She’s dressed head to toe in the Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection from Saint Laurent. The photos were taken by the famed photography duo Luigi & Iango.
Fully two years after the release of his previous album “Aa”, singer/songwriter Naotaro Moriyama has announced that he will be releasing a brand new record titled “822” on August 22nd. “822” will include Moriyama’s previously released tracks “Zettai, Daijoubu”, “Tsumi no Aji”, “Kate”, “Ningen no Mori”, and “Minna Onnaji”, as well as six new songs for a total of 11.
The album will be issued in two versions, with the Limited Edition to include a DVD which contains the music video for “Ningen no Mori”, a live performance of album track “Gunjou”, and footage from his recent Youtube Music Night live set. Additionally, it will will also come with a special 822 second documentary chronicling the album’s recording process.

Earlier this summer, instrumental jazz trio fox capture plan announced that they will be releasing a brand new studio record on September 5th. Titled “CAPTURISM”, this will be the group’s first album since last October’s “UИTITLƎD” and is currently planned to include ten new songs from the band.
In support of the record’s release, the group have already uploaded the PV for its title track to their Youtube channel. The video centers around an intense performance of the song in a dark room, within which a series of spotlights rapidly flash to provide illumination.
