Nikkei Entertainment’s “Talent Power Ranking” list for 2022 is now out. One of the rankings out this year is for Generation Z talents, those under the age of 25. These people represent the next generation of stars.
Hashimoto Kanna tops the ranking, followed by Hirose Suzu. Hamabi Minami rounds out the top three.

On June 8, Daichi Miura will release his new single, “Sansan.” The song serves as the theme song for the current NHK asadora “Chimu Dondon.”
The drama is a special one in celebration of the 50th anniversary of Okinawa’s return to Japan from the United States’ post-World War II occupation. The drama tells the story of heroine Higa Nobuko, played by Kuroshima Yuina, leaving Okinawa to pursue a career as a chef in Tokyo, and eventually spreading the cuisine of her island.
“Sansan” was written by Daichi and composed by UTA. It will be released in three version: CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray, and CD only. Check out more about the single, including its music videos, below!
This week, Hey! Say! JUMP topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “a r e a / Koi wo Surunda / Haru Tsubame”, with 230,030 points in its first week.
JO1 topped the Combined Album chart with their new album “KIZUNA”, with 268,395 points in its first week.
Hey! Say! JUMP also topped the Single chart with “a r e a / Koi wo Surunda / Haru Tsubame”, selling 228,840 copies in its first week.
JO1 also topped the Album chart with “KIZUNA”, selling 260,890 copies in its first week.
Kuwata Keisuke topped the Digital Single chart for with his new single “Jidai Okure no Rock’n’Roll Band”, selling 20,767 copies its first week.
Hinatazaka46 topped the Digital Album chart with the special edition of their new single “Boku Nanka”, selling 3,616 copies in its first week.
Official HIGE DANdism topped the Streaming chart with their single “Mixed Nuts”, with 9,483,191 streams in its seventh week.
In conjunction with the release of their album “BAD Mode”, Utada Hikaru held a special online concert, “Hikaru Utada Live Sessions from Air Studios.” About 50,000 fans enjoyed the event.
Due to demand from international fans, the concert will be released on Netflix worldwide on June 9. This is the second time they have released a concert on Netflix, with their “Hikaru Utada Laughter in the Dark Tour 2018” tour streaming on the service in 2019.
In addition, a live album taken from the concert will be available digitally worldwide on the same day.
In related Utada x Netflix news, a date has been set for the release of the drama inspired by their albums “First Love” and “Hatsukoi.” “First Love Hatsukoi” will premiere on November 24. As previously reported, the drama will star Sato Takeru and Mitsushima Hikari. Several of their co-stars have been announced, and they are Kaho, Minami, Nakao Akiyoshi, Araki Towa, Yamada Aoi, Hamada Gaku, Mukai Osamu, Iura Arata, and Koizumi Kyoko.
