Koda Kumi to “re LIVE” her Black Cherry and JAPONESQUE tours

“Queen of Live” Koda Kumi is about to put her name to the test! She has announced that she will be going on a brand new tour, but this one is going to have a very special spin. She will be doing a “re (LIVE)” of her iconic Black Cherry and JAPONESQUE tours!

Live Tour 2007 ~Black Cherry~ was done in support of Kumi’s 2006 album “Black Cherry“. Selling over 1 million copies, it featured some of her most well known hits and fan favorites including “Yume No Uta”, “JUICY”, “Cherry Girl”, and “Koi No Tsubomi”.

Listen to a Preview of Kenshi Yonezu’s “Umi no Yuurei” in the Latest Trailer for “Kaijuu no Kodomo”

Last month we reported that singer/songwriter Kenshi Yonezu would be providing the theme song for film “Kaijuu no Kodomo”. The movie’s second trailer, which features a preview of this track, has now been uploaded to YouTube.

Based on what we can hear, “Umi no Yuurei” appears to be a ballad with strong electronic influences, coupled with an emotionally cathartic chorus. Of note, the film’s catch phrase – “Ichiban Taisetsu na Yakusoku wa, Kotoba de wa Kawasanai”, or “The Most Important Promises are not Exchanged with Words” – appears to be referenced in the track’s lyrics.

You can find this visually striking trailer below.
