Rock quartet Bird Bear Hare and Fish – formerly Galileo Galilei – have announced that they will be shortening their band name to ‘BBHF’. To celebrate this re-branding, the group will be releasing a surprise digital EP titled “Mirror Mirror” on July 1st.
The first of a set of paired conceptual EPs, “Mirror Mirror” will include six new songs from the band. To coincide with this release, they have also uploaded a music video for the its title track and the official audio for song “Tomodachi e” to their YouTube channel.

Alternative rock band THE BACK HORN have announced that they will be releasing a new studio album on October 23rd. The group’s 12th longplay together, this as-yet-untitled release will be their first since 2015’s “Unmei Kaika” and will include a number of new songs from the group.
In conjunction with this announcement, the band have released album track “Shinzou ga Tomaru Made wa” as a digital single and uploaded its Short PV to their YouTube channel. The full version of the electronic-backed song can be found on Spotify.

Alternative rock trio Ling Tosite Sigure will be releasing their latest Double A-side Single, titled “Neighbormind / laser beamer”, on July 3rd. Both songs have already acquired tie-ups, with “Neighbormind” to be used as the Japanese theme song for the upcoming film “Spiderman: Far From Home”, while “laser beamer” will serve as the main theme for the PSYCHO-PASS stage play “Virtue and Vice”.
Ahead of the single’s release date, short PVs for the A-sides have been uploaded to Ling’s YouTube channel. Each focuses on the performance of its respective song, accompanied by both a light show and visual distortion.

Yuzu attended the prestigious Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan on June 29. Known as the “Grammys of Taiwan”, the ceremony celebrated its 30th anniversary this year and was attended by top notch Mandopop artists such as Jolin Tsai, Eason Chan, G.EM., Stefanie Sun, S.H.E, and more.
Yuzu is the only Japanese act to perform in this year’s GMA ceremony. They performed their hit song “Eiko no Kakehashi” with singer-songwriter Evan Yo on piano.

Momikeshite Fuyu drama starring Yamada Ryosuke is back as a special drama this summer. Titled “Momikeshite Fuyu ~ Natsu de mo Samukute Shinisou desu”, the drama SP sees the Kitazawa family back in action and facing new challenges.
Hey! Say! JUMP is covering Sakamoto Kyu’s famous song “Ue o Muite Aruko” (I Look Up As I Walk) alternatively known as “Sukiyaki” for the theme song of the drama SP. The original version was released in 1961 and has topped worldwide charts including the U.S.
