Comedy rock band Kishidan has uploaded another cover on their YouTube channel “Kishidan TV”. The song chosen was none other than Ayumi Hamasaki‘s hit “Boys & Girls“!

The avex label mates previously worked together when Kishidan appeared as a surprise guest on the final date of Ayu’s concert tour “ayumi hamasaki ARENA TOUR 2012 A ～HOTEL Love songs～”

Kishidan is currently preparing for the 2020 edition of their “Kishidan Expo“. While it’s usually an outdoor festival, this year the concert will be held for a live audience only. Many special guests are slated to appear including Momiro Clover Z, Queen Bee, and Naotaro Moriyama.

On August 26, JO1 will release their second single, “STARGAZER.” The single will come in three editions, two limited and one regular. On the first limited edition and the regular edition covers, JO1 wear school uniforms. On the second limited edition cover, the group shows their more adult side by wearing Louis Vuitton.

JO1 recently released the short music video for one of the songs on “STARGAZER”, “OH-EH-OH.” The video continues with the schoolboy concept, with JO1 fighting a mysterious group in the streets. It also features a “jacket dance” where the group incorporates the garment into their choreography. Check it out below, along with more information on their new single!

It has been announced that actor Koji Seto and actress Mizuki Yamamoto are married! They were married on August 7th, and released their own statements simultaneously on their social media profiles.

Seto made his announcement on twitter, which was accompanied by a very sleek photo of the couple wearing cream suits. Yamamoto has now of course fully moved in with Seto, and she will continue her activities as normal.

Since making the announcement, Seto’s Twitter post has already received almost 800k likes, while Yamamoto’s Instagram announcement is holding it’s own at almost 300k likes.

Tabloid Bunshun is reporting that top Johnny’s talent Tomohisa Yamashita and Kazuya Kamenashi took part in a drinking party at one of their favorite bars called “X” located in the special ward Minato. Earlier this year the two resumed activities as a unit, officially titled “Kame to YamaP” much to the excitement of fans.

Yamapi and Kame stayed at the bar until around 4:00AM. By 4:30 Yamapi parted ways with Kame, and took a taxi to a luxury hotel located in Tokyo. Yamapi checked in, and then an hour later at 5:30 AM a taxi arrived with a mystery woman who was Yamapi’s guest. Throughout his career Yamapi has mostly been able to avoid serious scandals, but there’s always been rumors of his dating life in the tabloids.

He has been linked to actresses Satomi Ishihara, Keiko Kitagawa, and Yu Abiru. Not too long ago he was linked to model and Terrace House cast member Niki Niwa. Even right when Yamapi officially debuted in NEWS he was linked to former singer Maki Goto.

Earlier this week, Yonezu Kenshi released his new album, “STRAY SHEEP”, but it’s not the only thing he’s releasing this week. On August 7, Kenshi will release a new collaboration with Uniqlo’s UT line. However, this collaboration is limited to the US and Canada. It can be purchased in stores and online. There is no information at this time on whether this collaboration will be released in Japan.

To promote the collaboration, a giant advertisement featuring the cover art for “STRAY SHEEP” is currently covering the corner facade of Uniqlo’s New York City flagship on Fifth Avenue.

On August 26, Fuji TV’s summer music special, “2020 FNS Kayousai Natsu”, will air. It will begin at 6:30 PM JST and end at 11:03 PM JST.

The show will be hosted by Arashi‘s Aiba Masaki and Fuji TV announcer Nagashima Yumi, who also hosted last year’s “2019 FNS Kayousai.” Of the program, Masaki said it’s his first time hosting the summer edition and he looks forward to a hot and fun four and half hour show.

The first set of performers was announced as well, and it includes 25 acts, including Hey! Say! JUMP, Official HIGE DANdism, Koda Kumi, Eito, and Nogizaka46. See who else is performing below!

The popular Chinese video hosting service Youku has announced another idol survival show! Unlike the many others, this one has a slight twist. Titled “Asia Super Young” the show will be accepting and showcasing trainees from all across Asia.

To reflect this the show has already announced 4 mentors that will be appearing on the show. Representing Japan is Takuya Kimura, one of the most well known Japanese idols. Kimura has maintained steady popularity all across Asia due to his previous activities with his group SMAP, and acting roles.
