It has been announced that Hey! Say! JUMP member Kei Inoo has tested positive for COVID-19. The statement from his office Johnny’s was very brief, they confirmed that he received a PCR test and confirmed that his test results came back positive on August 12th, 2020.
Inoo is currently recovering at home. Upon the news of Inoo testing positive, all of the other members of Hey! Say! JUMP also received a PCR test but luckily all of them came back negative.
Last month the group released their latest #1 single “Last Mermaid…”.

On August 12, Tokyo Jihen will release a new digital single, “Aka no Doumei.” This release includes three songs, all written by Shiina Ringo. Izawa Ichiyo composed the first two songs on “Aka no Doumei”, while Ukigumo composed the last one.
The song “Aka no Doumei” serves as the theme song for the Nippon TV drama “Watashitachi wa Douka Shiteiru”, starring Yokohama Ryusei and Hamabe Minami, which debuts August 12. The music video for the song was recently released and can be seen below.
In related news, another new Tokyo Jihen song “Ao no ID” will serve as theme song for the film “Sakura”, starring DISH//‘s Kitamura Takumi, Komatsu Nana, and Yoshizawa Ryo. The film is set for release on November 13, but there is no word on when “Ao no ID” will be released currently. However, a clip of it can be heard in the trailer for “Sakura” below.
Back in May, Fujii Kaze released his debut album, “HELP EVER HURT NEVER.” It debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart. YouTube Music recently interviewed Kaze for its “Artist on the Rise” series. Japan’s largest independent record label Avex has announced the first round of acts planned to perform at “a-nation online 2020“.
As previously announced, the annual summer concert series will be held online for the first time due the restrictions on large live events as cases of COVID-19 surge around the world.
The online event is scheduled for Saturday, August 29 and will include artists performing stages from different countries across Asia.
