Girl group Perfume is returning to the scene with their first physical single since 2018’s “Mugen Mirai”! Visuals have finally been released for the long-awaited single “Time Warp”

The new single is being released in celebration of the groups 15th anniversary since making their debut, and 20th anniversary since the group was formed. “Time Warp” will be available in two different versions, with the limited edition being housed in a special packaging and will also come with a cassette tape of the single! DVD content on the single includes the MV for “Time Warp” and the b-side “Saisei“, along with making-of footage for Saisei.

“Unreported World”, a documentary series produced by the British TV network Channel 4, recently released an episode titled “Japan’s Schoolgirl Pin-Ups.” It originally aired in the UK on August 7, but has now been uploaded on the series’ YouTube channel for international viewers.

“Japan’s Schoolgirl Pin-Ups” explores the world of junior idols, a topic of discussion that Western media just can’t seem to get enough of. The usual tropes are gone over here, including very young young female performers, their much older male fans, and their supportive parents, all presented by a digusted and confused foreign reporter. There’s even a maid cafe thrown in to up the “Weird Japan” ante. “Japan’s Schoolgirl Pin-Ups” focuses on an 11 year old junior idol named Sakurai Yune.

Something that does seem different here though is that the fans, as well as management, are actually given a chance to speak, adding another layer of understanding to the world of junior idols. But there is also some digging done to find out why this world exists in the first place.

This week, Sexy Zone topped the Combined Single chart with their new single “RUN”, with 245,514 points in its first week.

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Combined Album chart with his new album “STRAY SHEEP”, with 1,015,254 points in its first week.

Sexy Zone also topped the Single chart with “RUN”, selling 245,514 copies in its first week.

Kenshi topped the Album chart with “STRAY SHEEP”, selling 879,768 copies in its first week.

Kenshi also topped the Digital Single chart with his digital single “Kanden”, selling 39,647 copies in its fifth week, topping the chart for the fourth non-consecutive week.

Kenshi also topped the Digital Album chart with “STRAY SHEEP”, selling 109,192 copies in its first week.

YOASOBI topped the Streaming chart with their digital single “Yoru ni Kakeru”, with 6,875,813 streams in its 17th week in the chart’s top 10, topping the chart for the 11th non-consecutive week.
