Folk-pop duo Humbert Humbert have announced that they will be releasing a new album titled “Ai no Himitsu” on October 21st. This comes three years after the group’s previous studio record – “Kazoku Koushinkyoku” – and will be their tenth album together in total.

“Ai no Himitsu” has been described as a ‘pop record with a sense of scale’ and will be mastered by Greg Calbi, who is known for his work with Bob Dylan and Norah Jones. It will run 12 tracks long, including self-covers of the pair’s anime theme songs “My Home Town” and “Soredemo Tomo ni Aruiteiku”.

Today instrumental jazz trio fox capture plan announced that they would be releasing a new studio album titled “DISCOVERY” on November 4th. “DISCOVERY” comes just over two years after their previous record – “CAPTURISM” – and will be the group’s eighth longplay in total.

The album will include new mixes of the band’s previously released tracks “NEW ERA” and “Yakan Kouro”, new versions of tracks “Spread Out”, “Narrow Edge”, and “Stand My Heroes”, a cover of LINKIN PARK’s “Numb”, and five new songs for a total of 11. In conjunction with this reveal, the group also uploaded a trailer video – complete with English subtitles – to their label’s YouTube channel.

Yonezu Kenshi topped the Combined Album chart for the third consecutive week with his album “STRAY SHEEP”, with 168,031 points in its third week.

Kanjani8 also topped the Single chart with “Re:LIVE”, selling 325,888 copies in its first week of physical release.

Kenshi topped the Album chart for the third consecutive week with “STRAY SHEEP”, selling 135,351 copies in its third week.

Keyakizaka46 topped the Digital Single chart with their new digital single “Dare ga Sono Kane wo Narasu no ka?”, selling 34,245 copies in its first week.

Kenshi also topped the Digital Album chart for the third consecutive week with “STRAY SHEEP”, selling 12,697 copies in its third week.

YOASOBI topped the Streaming chart with their digital single “Yoru ni Kakeru”, with 6,441,350 streams in its 19th week in the chart’s top 10, topping the chart for the 13th non-consecutive week.

Alternative rock band LAMP IN TERREN have revealed that they will be releasing a new full-length album on October 14th. This record, titled “FRAGILE”, comes nearly two years after their previous studio set – “The Naked Blues” – and will include songs inspired by and recorded during the Coronavirus pandemic.

“FRAGILE” will run ten tracks in length, among them previously released songs like “Enchanté”, “Itsumo no Koto”, and “White Like Me”. The album’s cover art was drawn by singer Dai Matsumoto, who likewise supervised all of the art involved with the release.

Yukihiro Takahashi, known for being part of many projects including Yellow Magic Orchestra and METAFIVE, recently had a brain tumor removed.

After having intermittent headaches since earlier this summer, a MRI scan revealed a brain tumor to be the cause. The tumor was successfully removed via surgery on August 13. Takahashi is currently recovering from the surgery in hospital, and has a good prognosis.

On September 12, the eighth edition of Nippon TV’s midyear music special, “THE MUSIC DAY”, will air from 2:55 PM to 10:54 PM. It’s taking place later than usual this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Arashi’s Sakurai Sho will serve as host for the show, just how he has in previous years. He’ll be joined by Nippon TV announcers Hatori Shinichi, Miura Asami, and Taki Natsuki, as well as Bakarhythm to assist in his hosting duties.
