On September 12, “THE MUSIC DAY” will air, featuring performances by the likes of Arashi, LiSA, KAT-TUN, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, Nogizaka46, and Ikimonogakari. In recent days, several more performers have been added to the lineup.
NiziU will perform for the first time on TV on “THE MUSIC DAY”, performing their pre-debut song “Make you happy.” Eito and DISH// will also perform on the show for the first time this year.

Veteran actor Yusuke Iseya was recently booked in Tokyo on September 8th for possibly violating Japan’s strict Cannabis Control Law. The cannabis was said to be found in his home, according to reports over 20 grams of cannabis was found separated into four separate bags hidden inside of his living room desk.
The value is said to be around 100,000 yen, rolling papers were also found on a table. Based on a report, the cannabis was not for personal use, but it was going to be for sale which means Iseya will be trailed as a dealer. This makes his punishment much more serious because even though this is a first offence he will be sentenced to prison.
Iseya’s agency Kakuto Entertainment immediately issued a statement saying “This incident is extremely regrettable. We deeply apologize to fans and everyone concerned for causing such a big worry and bother.”
King Gnu has teamed up with the energy drink Red Bull for a national campaign called “Go Louder”, the campaign will make it’s debut in Lawson convenience stores nationwide beginning on September 29th.
This campaign has made some history, as King Gnu is the very first Japanese music artist to partner with Red Bull. Fans who purchase Red Bull from Lawson are eligible for a plethora of prices including special merchandise such as a clothes, and a mini fridge.

Two months after the release of their latest global single “IN THE SUMMER“, Japan’s national boy band Arashi is gearing up for the release of yet another new single!
“Whenever You Call” will be the groups newest global single, and has been officially described as a medium tempo ballad full of English lyrics. One of the co-writers of the song is none other than American superstar Bruno Mars. Arashi recorded the song under the direction of Mars himself.
This week, JO1 topped the Hot 100 single chart with their single “STARGAZER”, with 28,622 points.
Yonezu Kenshi topped the Hot Albums chart for the fourth consecutive week with his album “STRAY SHEEP.”
BTS topped the Streaming Songs chart with their digital single “Dynamite.”
Eden topped the Download Songs chart with their digital single “Rakuen Tsuiho -Faith Conquest-.”
Kenshi also topped the Download Albums chart for the fourth consecutive week with “STRAY SHEEP.”
