Singer and fashionista Miliyah Kato has unveiled her latest project, a brand new clothing line aimed at babies. Her brand is called “Permanent Chic“, and will primarily focus on products for babies and mothers. The very first item launched on January 20th, with more release slated for the next upcoming months.
As-per the official website Permanent Chic means “permanent splendor and elegance”, with all the products designed for the safety and comfort of mothers and children. A big selling point is that she’s only using organic cotton for the products, with her brand being certified by GOTS (global organic textile standard).
The first item for sale is the “Marble Swaddle Blanket”, available in either black or white. It’s a multiuse product that can be used for wrapping babies, a nursing cape, a quilt, or even a cover to protect a stroller from the wind or sun.

Johnny’s group Snow Man will be holding a special livestream to commemorate one year since they made their major debut! Their debut single “D.D/Imitation Rain” originally hit store shelves on January 22nd, 2020 and sold a staggering 1.3 million units in just one week.
The livestream also ties in with the release of their 3rd single titled “Grandeur“. It is currently serving as the theme song for the popular anime series “Black Clover”. The live stream will begin at 7:00 PM JST hosted on their official YouTube channel, and go on for an hour.
Jun Matsumoto has been cast in the lead for NHK’s upcoming drama titled “Dou Suru Ieyasu“, it will be NHK’s 62nd entry in their series of taiga dramas.
Taiga dramas are an annual year-long historical drama series that first began to air in 1963. The high budget productions have seen a sharp decline in ratings over the years, with the average rating falling below 10% for the first time with 2019’s “Idaten“. Nonetheless it’s still a big event in the Japanese drama world.
AKB48 member Yuki Kashiwagi delighted fans with the announcement of a new single, her first in over 7 years! Titled “CAN YOU WALK WITH ME??“, for this song she won’t be working with AKB48’s founder Yasashi Akimoto. Instead, she will be teaming up with the founder of the idol collective WACK JunnosukeWatanabe.
WACK is perhaps best known for pushing the “alternative idol” movement, with their most known groups being BiS and BiSH. Described as a “cool emotional song” Junnosuke hopes that fans of both AKB48 and WACK groups will enjoy it, promising to showcase a whole new side to Yuki.
The highly anticipated film “Sankaku Mado no Sotogawa wa Yoru” is currently set for release on January 22nd, 2021. Just days before it will hit theater screens nationwide across Japan, a new promo image from the film was released showing one of the characters yet to be revealed.
It turned out to be none other than Keiko Kitagawa! She will be playing the role of an attorney who also goes by the name Keiko. In the film she is cursed by the mysterious high school student Erika Hiura (Yurina Hirate). The film was originally set for release back in October 30th, but was postponed due to COVID-19.

BTS topped the Streaming chart with their digital single “Dynamite”, with 10,534,156 streams in its 21st week, topping the chart for the tenth non-consecutive week.
