The Akanishi Troop is at it again, and this time they might be in trouble with the law.
Tokyo Sports reports that late last month, Jin Akanishi, Yamapi and Ryo Nishikido got into an altercation with non-celebrities during a night out in Roppongi. Upon closer observation, a female recognized who these guys were and what was going on so she took out her phone and started recording the argument.
In the upcoming film Unbroken directed by Angelina Jolie, singer Miyavi plays the role of Mutsushiro “The Bird” Watanabe, a World War II POW camp guard. In the film, his mission is to break the spirit of lead character Louis Zamperini (Jack O’Connell), an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II. Unbroken, based on the book “Unbroken: A World War II Story of Surivival, Resilience, and Redemption” by Laura Hillenbrand, tells story of how Zamperini survived as a POW in several Japanese war prisons.

On July 10th, actor Takeru Sato (25) and actress Emi Takei (20) attended an event for the movies “Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire” and “Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend” dressed in summery yukata.
Takei’s yukata featured large, light green mari balls. Sato cheerfully teased his co-star in front of the press by calling it a ‘cabbage yukata’. “A cabbage yukata, that’s a new one. How cute,” he said playfully, making Takei puff out her cheeks and say, “You’re terrible…”
Sato (who plays the main character Kenshin Himura) also reflected back on the approximately 30 locations where the “Rurouni Kenshin” movie sequels were filmed, stating that of those locations, Kumamoto stands out the most in his memory. “A Kumamon with a cross-shaped scar came [to the set],” he explained, amusing the press conference with the mental image of a battle-scarred hitokiri Kumamon.
“Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno” opens in Japanese theaters on August 1st, followed by “Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends” on September 13th.
