Mayuyu centers new AKB48 PV ‘Kokoro no Placard’

Idol supergroup AKB48 teased fans earlier today by uploading a short PV for upcoming 37th single ‘Kokoro no Placard‘.

The ‘Kokoro no Placard‘ video is inspired by disco culture from the Japanese Showa Era. It continues the post-election trend of a dancing in large crowds like ‘Koisuru Fortune Cookie,’ this time with over 500 extras dancing with them. The choreography for this song was so simple that the senbatsu needed less than 10 minutes to learn it!

Gesu no Kiwami Otome. releases pv for new single “Ryokiteki na Kiss wo Watashi ni Shite”

Gesu no Kiwami Otome. has released the music video for their new song “Ryokiteki na Kiss wo Watashi ni Shite.” The song is the first A-side on their forthcoming double A-side single “Ryokiteki na Kiss wo Watashi ni Shite / Asobi.” It is set for release on August 6. As previously reported, “Ryokiteki na Kiss wo Watashi ni Shite” serves as the theme song for the new TV Tokyo drama “Arasa-Chan Mushusei”, starring Dan Mitsu. Girls’ Generation and EXILE top the Weekly Oricon Charts 7/21 – 7/27

Oricon has released the chart numbers for the week of 7/21 – 7/27. For the album charts, Korean group Girls’ Generation’s Best album came out on top while EXILE‘s ‘NEW HORIZON’ took the number #1 spot on the single charts.

Over on iTunes, ONE ROCK ROCK’s “Mighty Long Fall” stayed at #1 for a second week. ONE OK ROCK regained its spot at the top after EXILE took it over for a few days upon their new single’s release. EXILE did not win out in the end though. “Mighty Long Fall” has yet to be released to Recochoku.

EXILE TRIBE releases info for new album

Previous EXILE TRIBE announced the release of a new album at the end of August. Today they revealed more information about this new album. The album will be released on August 27th and will be in conjunction with the EXILE TRIBE dome tour. As such, the title is named “EXILE TRIBE REVOLUTION”. This is the diffrentiate itself from the EXILE TRIBE single, “THE REVOLUTION”.

With this release, all 26 members of EXILE TRIBE are participating in this new full length album. These includes members of EXILE, Sandaime J Soul Brothers and GENERATIONS. However EXILE vocalist, ATSUSHI, will not be participating in this album.

The album includes new songs such as “24WORLD”, following their series of 24karats themed songs, and “Keep On Singing”. It also include previous TRIBE songs such as BURNING UP and 24karats TRIBE OF GOLD. But the highlight of the album is the new arrangements of songs that were previously sung by THE SECOND, EXILE and Sandaime J Soul Brothers.

The DVD will come in the Blu-ray format and will include video clips of some of the songs as well as live versions from previous concerts.

Maaya Sakamoto, androp’s Takahito Uchisawa team up in ‘Replica’

Singer Maaya Sakamoto will be releasing a new single ‘Replica’ on August 20th. The rock tune was composed and arranged by androp vocalist/guitarist Takahito Uchisawa and will be used as the new opening theme for the anime series M3 the dark metal. Moreover, its  B-side ‘coming up’ will be Sakamoto’s second collaboration with the band apart bassist Masakazu Hara following the release of  ‘Be mine!’ in February.

Attack on Titan Set To Receive 2 Live Action Films

Director Shinji Higuchi has announced that his live action adaption of the popular Attack on Titan manga will receive two installments, both which will be released next summer.

Ling Tosite Sigure frontman TK reveals the details on his new album

TK from Ling Tosite Sigure will be releasing his second solo album on August 27. The album is titled “Fantastic Magic.” The album will have 10 tracks, one of which, Shinkiro, will feature Chara on vocals. Check out the covers and tracklist after the jump!
