Rock band the dresscodes is set to release their first EP “Hippies E.P.” on September 24. It will be the band’s first release on King Records’ sublabel EVIL LINE RECORDS since transferring from Nippon Columbia earlier this year. Three of the songs on the EP feature arrangement by Koshi Miura of Kuchiroro. He also co-wrote and guest vocaled on one of these songs, “Melody”. The limited edition of this release has 4 different UV printed paper slipcovers which depict paint dripping on a portrait of the band’s vocalist Shima Ryohei from different angles. The band has released a trailer for the EP feature footage from their concert “Godspeed Summer Hippies”, which was held this past August 17 at Tokyo’s Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall. At the concert, the band play the whole EP along with some older songs.

A very pregnant Yu Yamada has just held her baby shower to celebrate her baby (fathered by fellow actor Shun Oguri) due any day now. Her friend, world-class Zumba instructor Yukiko Saga, gives us a look on the entire shindig.

Punk rock band Triampersandy have released the video for ‘ring+A+ring‘, the third from their first mini album 『Reflection”A”』.
Triampersandy, whose name is a combination of triangle and ampersand, is a 5-member band (with an unofficial member that arranges all their tracks) that formed back in October of 2012 and released their debut album ‘PLANET of the TRIAMPERSAN’ just 5 months later. Their band is made up of members of over previously popular bands like Gollbetty (G-YUN, MISSY) and ketchup mania (Wani).
Fans of Sae Miyazawa’s cross dressing will not be disappointed by her role as high school boy Minoru Urayama in the upcoming musical ‘AKB49~ Romance ban laws~’.
The musical is based on a manga of the same name, which features the group ‘AKB48’. It contains many cross dressing antics with the main character Minoru Urayama cross dressing as a girl to help his crush enter the idol group, and ending up being picked at the audition himself!
On the 11th of September at the public dress rehearsal for the musical the cast members took part in an interview.
Singer-songwriter Seiko Oomori has released a short PV for the coupling song ‘Watashi wa omoshiroi zettai omoshiroi tabun‘ from her major debut single.
The song is all over the place, juxtaposing spitfire verses with slowed down, more ethereal lines. The video features former BiS Megumi Koshouji eating some corn, so if you’re in to cute girls eating on cam, you won’t be disappointed.
Ahead of the release of her new album, rapper YURIKA has posted the music video for her song ‘Dig It the Vintage feat. ZEN-LA-ROCK‘.
YURIKA, a recent addition to the DREAM BOY label, has completed her new album ‘Adiantum‘ and will release it on September 17th. This album consists of 12 tracks from a variety of producers and features other artists like KEN THE 390, Cyprus Ueno, KLOOZ and TAKUMA THE GREAT.
Junior high school dance and vocal group, J☆Dee’Z will have their debut single “Beasty Girls/Let the music flow” featured as the ending theme for “Downtown DX”. Their single will be released on September 24th.
The same song has already been used for the “Choi☆DISCO” theme song and “Chou Ryuuha” September opening theme song. “Downtown DX” will make it a triple tie-up for the unit.
