Ikimonogakari unveil Cute and Incredibly Fun Music Video for “GOLDEN GIRL”

Well-known pop-rock group Ikimonogakari recently decided to reveal the full PV for their upcoming single ‘GOLDEN GIRL’, which is set to release on November 12th.  The absolutely adorable music video finds the band’s vocalist Kiyoe dressed up as several different professions, such as an office-worker and a teacher, her time as each persona ending in a synchronized dance with the other girls in the scene.

‘GOLDEN GIRL’ is being used as the theme song for the TBS drama ‘Onna wa Sore wo Yurusanai’, which stars Fukada Kyoko and Terajima Shinobu.  The coupling track for the single will be Ikimonogakari’s cover of DREAMS COME TRUE’s ‘Mirai Yosouzu II’, which they recorded earlier this year.

“Tutorial” On How to Harass Japanese Women Gains Attention

Parts of the blogosphere have been buzzing due to a new potential viral video, unfortunately no cute animals or children are involved. The video in question shows a man covered by a mosaic, hosting some sort of seminar talking about his experiences with Japanese women.

He goes into detail about his exploits in Tokyo and states he was able to get away with it because he’s a white foreigner. Direct quotes from the video:

In Tokyo if you’re a white male you can do what you want.

“Dude, just grab her” Just grab her? But she’s Japanese […] So I pull her in and she kinda like, laughs and giggles, and all you have to say to kinda like take the pressure off is just yell Pikachu, Pokemon, Tamagotchi or something.

What’s fucked too is that every foreigner whose white at least does this.

The video was originally uploaded in September by Japanese youtube user msdoom99. The video only started to pick up steam within the past couple days after it started to make the rounds on tumblr and 4chan. In just one day the video achieved over 80k views bringing the current total to 130k.

Former members of AKB48 to appear in new single

AKB48’s upcoming single “Kibouteki Refrain” (Wishful Refrain) features 4 graduated members who appear in the new PV. The PV itself symbolizes the passing of the center position and features Atsuko Maeda (23) Yuko Oshima (26) Mariko Shinoda (28) and Tomomi Itano (23) along with the successive generations in a sprinting relay to pass on two black bags containing golden microphones. These microphones are passed from one member to another before finally ending up with Watanabe Mayu (20) and HKT48’s Sakura Miyawaki (16) who then perform with the rest of the members.
