NEWS has announced a new album, titled WHITE, slated to be released on February 25. The album will include already released singles “ONE -for the win-” and “KAGUYA” and unreleased songs “Ai Kotoba”, which was written and composed by the members and CM song “NYARO”. Member solo songs are also to be included. The album is described to have the color “white” as its theme and one which enables listeners to enjoy the group’s new style. The colors to be painted on a blank canvas are the accelerating NEWS’s NEWS WORLD!

The first-run edition DVD is a “MR.WHITE” short film & making-of directed by Testu Maeda. It’s an action story in which, under the orders of the mysterious boss “Mr. White” NEWS’s characters “TEAM WHITE” will solve cases.

NEWS LIVE TOUR 2015 WHITE will also kick off starting March in Nagoya and end in June at the Tokyo Dome.

This week’s episode consisted of mainly interview sessions with guests from last year. This week’s performers were Silent Siren, Hanae and, Da-iCE.

Today’s episode of Music Station is the first one of 2015. To start things off for the new year, this week’s show is a 2 hour special that counts down celebrities’ favorite love songs. AKB48, Sandaime J Soul Brothers, SEKAI NO OWARI, NEWS, back number, and Hitoto Yo were this week’s guests.

On the January 13th episode of the variety program “Odoru! Sanma Goten!!’ Akemi Darenogare expressed her dissatisfaction with Japanese men.

Up-and-coming three piece rock act The Cheserasera recently published the music videos for their new songs “Tokyo Tower” and “No.8” to their record label’s official Youtube channel.  Both PVs find the band rocking out amid different nighttime vistas, the most common of which appears to be shots of Tokyo at said late hour.

“Tokyo Tower” and “No.8” are both tracks on The Cheserasera’s first full length album “WHATEVER WILL BE, WILL BE”, which hit shelves this week on January 14th.  The album contains eleven songs in total, also including their first single release “Sayonara Hikari”, which debuted all the way back in 2012.

New idol group Pottya is taking the “chubby concept” to new heights.

Last year an audition was held specifically looking for plus size girls to form a new idol group. Out of over 2000 applications five girls were selected to join Pottya. The group boasts at having an average weight of 76kg (167 pounds) and a combined weight of 380kg (837 pounds). The girls hope to be an influence on all body sizes, proving that being able to follow your dreams isn’t impossible.

Their debut indie single “Po Po Po-Pocha Rinko ☆” will be released on January 29th. Check out their debut pv, as well as profile images below!
