Keyakizaka46 Debuts Its First Generation Members

Back in June, it was announced that a sister group for Nogizaka46 would be formed. That group would be named Toriizaka46. Auditions for the first generation of Toriizaka46 were held from June 28 – August 21. August 21 is the same day that Nogizaka46 was formed.

Out of the 22,509 girls who applied to be in the group, 22 were selected. They range in age from 14 – 20. The girls were debuted to the public at a press conference today. It was also revealed that the group’s name would be changed from Toriizaka46 to Keyakizaka46. The group will release under Sony, just like Nogizaka46.

UVERworld put on a show in Music Video for “I LOVE THE WORLD”

Following the release of “Boku no Kotoba de wa Nai Kore wa Bokutachi no Kotoba” back in May, well-known fusion band UVERworld will be releasing their latest single “I LOVE THE WORLD” next week on August 26th.  The title track has already been picked up as the theme song for the popular online action MMORPG Dragon Nest, the single’s Limited Edition set to include a code which will allow access to a unique item inside the game.

The music video for “I LOVE THE WORLD” features the band performing the techno-rock number at the center of a packed club, dancers and intense lighting helping to enhance the presentation.  The crowd even joins singer Takuyaon one rendition of the chorus, their cheers bringing an additional dimension to the already layered production of the track.

Pokkén Tournament Arrives on Wii U in Spring 2016!

The BANDAI NAMCO ENTERTAINMENT & The Pokémon Company collaboration “Pokkén Tournament” was released for Japanese arcades back in July.

The game is, as the name implies, a crossover between the popular Pokémon and Tekken franchises. Finally, fans outside of Japan get to play the highly anticipated fighter as well.

Nothing’s Carved In Stone unveil details about their new studio album “MAZE”

Though they’ve been somewhat quiet for the past few months, rock band Nothing’s Carved In Stone have revealed that their 7th studio album will be stocking store shelves on September 16th.  This new album will be titled “MAZE” and is planned to include their previously released single “Gravity” as well as ten new songs for a total of 11.

This will follow the release of their first live album “Enkan -ENCORE-” this past week on August 19th; “Enkan” contains the complete recordings of 17 songs, including hits “Spirit Inspiration” and “Out of Control”, which were performed during their three month stint at the popular CLUB QUATTRO.

[BREAKING] Rola to make her Hollywood debut in “Resident Evil: The Final Chapter”

Today, model and talent Rola made an exciting announcement on Instagram: She is going to take part in the final “Resident Evil” (known as Biohazard in Japan) movie.

Her role is described as a “cool female fighting soldier”. For her, filming will start in South Africa next month.

Rola also said that acting in a Hollywood movie has always been her dream and that she studied both the English language and acting for this role.
