Actor Tomohisa Yamashita will be covering Harpers Bazaar Japan for the very first time in their upcoming special edition issue. In the issue Yamapi will discuss how the landscape of the entertainment industry has changed since the COVID-19 pandemic began to spread.
He will also talk about his increased international activities starring in both films and dramas. In 2022 he will be starring in the anticipated film “The Man from Toronto” which features Hollywood stars Kevin Hart, Woody Harrelson, and Ellen Barkin. In the interview Yamapi will also reveal what he’s looking forward to in the future.
After the scrapping of the original Tokyo 2020 Olympics & Paralympics ceremonies and their committees, the members of the new ceremonies committee have been revealed! The show director is Kobayashi Kentaro, the musical director is Tanaka Tomoyuki (FPM), the assistant musical director is Nakamura Hiroshi (i-dep, Sotte Bosse), Taneda Yohei is in charge of performing arts, and Higuchi Takuji is in charge of writing.
The Opening Ceremony’s music will be composed by Oyamada Keigo (Cornelius), Tokuzawa Seigen, Hara Marihiko, and Kagei Masayuki. Tsujikawa Kojiro, Kodama Yuichi, and Kojima Junji will serve as the ceremony’s film directors. Gamarjobat‘s HIRO-PON will also appear at the Opening Ceremony.
On July 14, GENERATIONS will release their sixth album “Up & Down.” This is the group’s first album since November 2019’s “SHONEN CHRONICLE.”
“Up & Down” will include the previously released singles “Hira Hira”, “You & I”, “Ame Nochi Hare”, and “HELLO! HALO!” The GENERATIONS version of the Jr.EXILE song “WAY TO THE GLORY” is included as a bonus track.
The album will come in four versions: a CD+Blu-ray/DVD+Photobook limited edition, two different CD+Blu-ray/DVD regular editions, and a CD only edition.

Matsumoto Takashi is currently celebrating his 50th anniversary as a songwriter. As part of this celebration, a new tribute album, “Kazemachi ni Tsuretette!”, will be released on July 14.
The album will feature covers of songs that Takashi has written for the likes of Seiko Matsuda, Happy End, Takeuchi Mariya, and Yakushimaru Hiroko, performed by acts such as B’z, Daichi Miura, Daoko, and Yoshioka Kiyoe of Ikimonogakari. The acts covering the songs were selected by the album’s producer, Kameda Seiji.
In tandem with the release of the album, a music video for Kawasaki Takaya‘s cover of Ohtaki Eiichi‘s “Kimi wa Tennen Shoku” has been released. Check out out below, along with more information on the album!
