Nagase Tomoya to play an eccentric pathologist in medical drama “Fragile”

It was announced that TOKIO’s Nagase Tomoya (live-action Ikebukuro West Gate Park, Sword of the Stranger) will be starring in the live-action television drama adaptation of Kusamizu Bin (story) and Megumi Saburo (art) Fragile – Byorii Kishi Keiichiro no Shoken (Fragile – The Finds of Pathologist Kishi Keiichiro).  Fragile will premiere on January 13 on Fuji TV, Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m.

The original manga centers around Kishi Keiichiro, a pathologist who advises doctors on their diagnoses and whose judgement is greatly trusted. Often, doctors remark that he is an eccentric person, but is good at what he does.

“Fragile” will be Nagase’s comeback drama in Fuji TV since “Mukodono!” in 2003. Filming will start in mid-November.

Ishikawa Junichi Nazotoki wa Dinner no Ato de, Legal High) will direct the series, while Hashibe Atsuko is writing the scripts.

Fuji TV announces Japan-first lesbian drama, but it may be an outdated portrayal?

Fuji Television has announced a drama series featuring a lesbian love story as its central theme — a first for Japan.

But a prominent lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) activist has slammed the show’s promotional material for portraying an “out-of-date” image of same-sex couples.

“Transit Girls,” which is set to debut on Nov. 7, tells the story of two girls, aged 18 and 21, who become stepsisters when their parents remarry. The girls, played by actresses Sairi Ito and Yui Sakuma, clash at first but then fall in love.

Nobunaga Concerto Trailer Released

The trailer for the movie Nobunaga Concerto has been released. Shun Oguri, and the cast of the FUJI TV series which aired last year will be reprising their roles. As previously reported, the movie will be released on January 23, 2016.

The story centers around Saburo, a high school boy who time-travels to Japan’s Sengoku Era. He must become Oda Nobunaga, the famed warlord who helps unite Japan.

Kou Shibasaki Releases Short PV for Her Shiina Ringo Collaboration

As previously reported, Kou Shibasaki will release her new single “Yasei no Doumei” on November 25. The song is a collaboration with Shiina Ringo, who wrote, composed, and arranged it. “Yasei no Doumei” serves as the theme song for the new season of the TV Asahi drama “Kasouken no Onna”, which premiered on October 15.

This single will have 2 B-sides: “Memento Diary” and “Ai to Smile Ai to Smile.” “Memento Diary” sees Kou collaborating with androp’s Uchisawa Takahito once again. “Ai to Smile Ai to Smile” serves as the theme song for the TV Saitama show “AI to TOZ no LOVE Hataraku Taiso.”

KOHH Releases PV for “Dirt Boys”

KOHH is releasing his new album “DIRT” on October 28. However, on October 23, he’s releasing the album on iTunes worldwide. Today, he released the music video for his album’s second track, “Dirt Boys.” The song features Dutch Montana and Loota. The clip was shot in Hong Kong and is subbed in English.

KOHH also recently released a video documenting the production of the CD+DVD+Book version of “DIRT.” In the clips, viewers can see the creation of the album’s metal case and the printing of the accompanying book.

KOHH recently sat down with SPACE SHOWER NEWS to discuss “DIRT.” He talked about the “Living Legend” pv, the album’s concept, and the album’s name. Like the “Dirt Boys” pv, this interview is also subbed in English.

Dream Gets Ready for Winter with “Blanket Snow” PV

On November 18, Dream will release their new single, “Blanket Snow.” The single will come in 3 editions: a CD+DVD edition, a CD only edition, and a One Coin CD only edition. The One Coin edition of “Blanket Snow” is only available via the E-girls FAMILY OFFICIAL CD/DVD SHOP, the LDH official mobile CD/DVD SHOP, and mu-mo. The single will feature a solo by member Aya. It will also feature a cover of the group’s 2003 song “I love dream world ~Sekaijuu no Shiawase wo Utaou~.”

Today, Dream released the music video for “Blanket Snow.” Keeping true to the name, the clip finds the ladies in a winter wonderland. The song is a heartwarming midtempo with a nice wintry feel.

AKB48 to Release New Best Album “0 to 1 no Aida”

AKB48 is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of their debut. As part of this celebration, they will be releasing a new best album on November 18 titled “0 to 1 no Aida.” The album will come in 4 editions: a 3CD+DVD Complete Singles Edition, 2CD No.1 Singles Edition, a 2CD Million Singles Edition, and 2CD Theater Edition.

All the editions will have new songs, which will be different on each edition. The Complete Singles Edition will feature new recordings of the group’s 2 indie singles, their 41 major label singles, and 3 new songs. The No.1 Singles Edition will feature their 28 singles that reached #1 on Oricon and 3 new songs. The Million Singles Edition will feature their 23 singles that have sold a million copies on Oricon and 6 new songs. The Theater Edition will feature their 23 singles that have sold a million copies on Oricon and 2 new songs.
