Mannequin duo FEMM have exciting news for their fans, as they are going to release their first CD, a double disc set “Pow! / L.C.S. + Femm-Isation” on February 3, 2016.
The set consists of a new single “PoW! / L.C.S.” which contains a total of 10 tracks and their album “Femm-Isation” which was released digitally last year.

On December 23, SPICY CHOCOLATE will release his new album “Shibuya Junai Monogatari 2.” The album will feature collaborations with many artists, including AAA’s Uno Misako & SKY-HI, Kato Miliyah, JASMINE, and Sukima Switch’s Ohashi Takuya. A week before the album’s release, SPICY CHOCOLATE will release the album’s fourth track, “Last Forever”, as a digital single. The song sees him collaborating with Kato Miliyah and SKY-HI. On December 23, L’Arc~en~Ciel will release their new single, “Wings Flap.” It was composed by frontman hyde and guitarist ken. The band has been playing “Wings Flap” at their recent concerts. The single will also include an acoustic version of their 1998 hit “HONEY”, produced by hyde. “Wings Flap” will come in 3 editions: a CD+Blu-ray+Photobook Deluxe Limited Edition that comes in 12 inch record packaging, a CD+Blu-ray Limited Edition, and a CD only Regular Edition.

Kanjani8 are back at number one with their latest single “Samurai Uta (Samurai Song)”.
Although it reached #1 and sold 147,943 copies, this is significantly lower than their previous single “Maemuki Scream!” which had debut sales of 282,644. However, they still outsold their nearest competitor, Namie Amuro, by over 100’000 copies.
On the album chart, Gen Hoshino takes the top spot for the first time with his 4th album “YELLOW DANCER”, selling 131,990 copies.
With just one week on the chart, “YELLOW DANCER” is the third best-selling original album released by a male soloist in 2015 behind Acid Black Cherry’s and Shougo Hamada’s.
On January 13, Kondo Yohdi will release his new single “Pan!!!!!” The single will come in a CD+Photobook Limited Edition and a CD only Regular Edition. Today, Yohdi released the music video for “Pan!!!!!” The clip for the cheery song has the theme of a musical. It’s all about forgetting the bad things and spreading positivity. Today, this year’s edition of the Yahoo! Search Awards were held at Tokyo’s Toranomon Hills. These awards are given to people who had the biggest increase in their Yahoo searches compared to the previous year. The winner of the Grand Prize this year is Sandaime J Soul Brothers. Their rapid rise in searches is result of their hit album “PLANET SEVEN” and their successful tour which was attended by over a million people. Sandaime J Soul Brothers also took home the Musician Award. The group’s vocalists, Tosaka Hiroomi and Imaichi Ryuji attended the ceremony. Hiroomi was surprised and honored by the wins. Ryuji was happy about the wins and thanked those who supported them to make the wins possible.
The duo spoke a bit about their dome tour, with Ryuji saying that it had been a goal for Sandaime J Soul Brothers since their debut. Hiroomi commented that when he looked out on the audience during that tour, he realized how many people were actually listening to their music. When asked by the host who they thought was the most searched for member, Hiroomi replied that it was probably Iwata Takanori. He ended his comments by saying that he hopes that Sandaime J Soul Brothers continue to grow in the future.

On December 9, electronic duo YOLZ IN THE SKY will release their new album “HOTEL.” This is their first album since “DESINTEGRATION”, which was released in March 2012. The 9 track album was mastered in Berlin by Stefan Betke (also known as Pole). YOLZ IN THE SKY recently released the audio for the album’s title track on YouTube, and now they’ve released a music video for “Making colors”, another song on the album. The clip features the song being created on a giant machine composed of many parts on a table. Check it out after the jump along with more information on the album!
On December 16, Hata Motohiro will release his new album “Ao no Koukei.” He’s now released the music video for the album’s eleventh track, “Seinaru Yoru no Okurimono.” This is Motohiro’s first Christmas song. “Seinaru Yoru no Okurimono” serves as the CM song for food company House’s Hokkaido stew. The music video for “Seinaru Yoru no Okurimono” was shot at the end of November in one day, from early in the morning to around midnight. The heartwarming clip shows different relationships, such as parent / child and lovers. Check it out after the jump!
