Dean Fujioka to play swindling playboy in new film “Kekkon”

Dean Fujioka has landed the lead role in the upcoming film Kekkon, a live adaption of the novel by Inoue Areno.

The story revolves around how being lonely can lead to some dangerous desires, often clouding ones judgement just so it can be fulfilled. Dean plays the role of  “Kenji Urumi”, a marriage swindler who takes prey on various women using his sex appeal, eventually taking their money.  Kenji doesn’t scam alone, his female partner “Ruriko Sengoku” will be played by Shuko. This marks Dean’s second leading role in a 2017 film, he will also be playing “Roy Mustang” in the upcoming live-action Fullmetal Alchemist due out December 2017.

Filming for Kekkon will conclude at the end of January 2017, and is currently scheduled to hit Japanese theaters in the summer.

Rides in ReVellion Postpone the Release of ‘Reincarnation-F.A.T.E./Rusty Nail-‘

Visual Kei band Rides in ReVellion have postponed the release of their cover X-Japan‘s ‘Rusty Nail’ and their fourth single ‘Reincarnation-F.A.T.E.’ due to production issues. The single was originally going to be released on February 1 however has been postponed to April 26.

Misaruka Announces Disbandment

Visual Kei band Misaruka has announced their disbandment via their official website. The band’s last performance will be on May 30 at the Takadanobaba AREA. The reason the group’s disbandment was rooted in ticket sales as the band stated that if ticket sales did not reach a particular goal, the group would disband. The group will release one final album ‘WHAT DO YOU WANT?’ on February 22.

RAZOR To Return In February With New Single ‘DNA’

Visual kei band RAZOR who made their debut back in November with the mini album ‘Red Invisible’, have now announced the release of a new single ‘DNA’. The single will release on February 22.

The single will be available in 2 versions with version B having three new songs while version A has only two songs but included a MV of the title single.

Comodo Dragon Gear Up To Release 10th Single ‘Kono Sekai Owari Da’

Comodo Dragon has announced the release of their tenth single ‘Kono Sekai Owari Da’ (This World Is Over). The single will be available in 4 versions and will be released on March 22.

Acid Black Cherry unveils Teaser for his latest Cover Album

Many moons ago we reported that singer/songwriter Acid Black Cherry, perhaps better known as Janne Da Arc’s Yasu, would be releasing the fourth in his Recreation series of cover albums.  The release of “Recreation 4” has since been rescheduled to January 25th, the delay resulting from throat issues which Yasu was forced to take time off to recover from.

Ahead of this new release date, Acid Black Cherry has published a teaser video to his official Youtube channel.  This short trailer previews several of the songs which will be included on the album, such as Toshinobu Kubota’s “Ryuusei no Saddle” and ayaka’s “Mikazuki”.
