There seems to be no stopping the anime juggernaut know as “Your Name“. It has not only received love in it’s home country of Japan, but in China, Korea and the rest of Asia. Now it gets ready to get some more love (and money) from those in North America. News broke through Funimation‘s site January 17th (yes we’re late on this news…) that “Your Name” will be hitting theaters in the USA and Canada April 8th for audiences to enjoy. You will have your choice of watching it dubbed in English or in Japanese with English subtitles. No locations have been released yet, but you can sign up at Funimation for e-mail updates.
In more “Your Name” news, a sample of the English edition of it’s theme song “Zenzenzense” by RADWIMPS has been released. Why not listen to it under the cut?
Paris Men’s Fashion Week is underway! While what you see walking down the runways is exciting, the guest list can be just as exciting (or even more so). The group of attendees that just happen to catch the eye of American Vogue are none other than Sandaime J Soul Brothers of Exile Tribe. The popular act has made such an impression, that a profile piece about them has made it’s way on to Vogue.com! The boys took in the sights and shows of Louis Vuitton and Yohji Yamamoto (member Naoki took to the runway for the latter); and also made their way to the Ambush showroom. While these are familiar faces to most who follow the J-entertainment scene, it’s nice to see them pop-up and be admired by unfamiliar places. See more photos of Sandaime J Soul Brothers’ fashion week adventure when you continue on.
Anison singer Alfakyun has recently uploaded the music video to her newest single, “Our sympathy”, on Youtube. The song is currently the opening theme for the Tokyo MX anime élDLIVE.
Alfakyun rose to internet fame when her cover of a Linked Horizon song became #1 on the video site Nico Nico Douga. She released her first album, entitled “+α/”, with Victor Entertainment in 2014.
If you enjoy Nana Mizuki or T.M. Revolution, check out this upbeat and cool-sounding tune below the cut!
The Visual Kei band Versailles announced that they are planning to release their fifth album, titled LINEAGE ~Bara no Mitsuei~ (translated as “descendant of the roses”), on February 14th. The five-member band, which is fronted by vocalist KAMIJO, hasn’t released an album for almost four-and-a-half years since the release of their self-titled album in 2012.
This long-awaited album will be released on the same day as Versailles’ Budokan live.
Take a look at the tracklist as well as the member’s comments below the cut! You can also hear snippets of each track within the videos.
(Warning: It’s a bit video heavy.)
