Tekken 7 finally has a release date + “Rage & Sorrow” trailer revealed

After many delays, Bandai Namco has finally decided on an official launch date for the home version of Tekken 7 scheduled for June 2nd, 2017, and will be released on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

In the wake of this announcement, some details about the collector pack have also been revealed :

  • A collector edition will be available containing a Deluxe edition as well as its season pass, a Steelbook case, the original soundtrack of the game and a 12 inch Kazuya figurine.
  • The Season Pass will contain extra characters, a new game mode, and extra game arenas
  • A pre-order bonus will give access to a new character, Eliza, a vampire who already made an appearance in “TEKKEN Revolution”. The pre-order on Day One will also provide a free version of TEKKEN 6 via backwards compatibility.
  • The PS4 version will get exclusive content, such as Tekken 4 costumes for some characters and a jukebox (reminiscent of Tekken Tag) allowing players to create their own playlists.

Along with this announcement a brand new trailer titled « Rage &Sorrow » showcasing the insights of the storymode highlighting the tumultuous family drama surrounding the Mishima clan. Check it out below

YUKI releases new album “Mabataki” in March, new single.

On the 15th of March, YUKI will release her new album “Mabataki“, her followup to 2014’s “FLY”. Before that is released however, she will be releasing a new single “Sayonara Bystander” which is set to be released on February 1st. X JAPAN’S “We Are X” soundtrack to be released worldwide

It has been announced that the soundtrack for the documentary We Are X will be getting a worldwide release on March 3rd, 2017. We Are X follows the story of X JAPAN, arguably Japan’s most successful rock band. They have sold over 30 million units (albums, single, video) and sold out Tokyo Dome’s 55,000 seat venue an astonishing 18 times.

We Are X was originally released to select theaters across America in late 2016 after the critical acclaim the film received from the Sundance and SXSW film festivals, with one critic hailing the film as “an astonishingly intimate portrait of a deeply haunted — but truly unstoppable — virtuoso and the music that has enthralled legions of the world’s most devoted fans.” We Are X will also finally be hitting Japanese and U.K theaters in March.

THE BACK HORN releases short preview of “Anata ga Matteru” featuring Utada Hikaru

As previously reported, Utada Hikaru is going to be featured in THE BACK HORN‘s new single “Anata ga Matteru”, which is going to be released on February 22th. Now, the band has released a short clip previewing the track, in which both Yamada Masashi and Utada Hikaru are seen singing the chorus alongside the rest of the band. The song appears to be a slow, sweet ballad, emphasizing the vocals of the singers. Additionaly, they have released the cover artwork for the single. Check both just after the jump!

Daichi Miura, E-girls, and ONE OK ROCK Top the Oricon Charts for the Week of 1/16 – 1/22

This week, Daichi Miura topped the Oricon single chart with his new single “EXCITE”, selling 29,789 copies in its first week.

E-girls topped the Oricon album chart with their new album “E.G. CRAZY”, selling 93,165 copies in its first week.

ONE OK ROCK’s “Ambitions” also topped the Oricon digital album chart for the second week in a row, selling 10,824 copies in its second week.
