It has been announced that Utada Hikaru will once again be providing the theme song for the hit Square Enix franchise Kingdom Hearts! The highly anticipated third mainline title was originally announced in 2013, and will finally be released sometime this year.
For the original Kingdom Hearts game Utada provided the song Hikari, which was re-recorded as Simple & Clean for the English version. In the sequel Kingdom Hearts II Utada provided the song Passion, which received the name Sanctuary for the English release. Finally, for Kingdom Hearts III Utada’s song will be titled Oath while the English version is called Don’t Think Twice.
This information was all revealed at a special Kingdom Hearts fan event called D23 Expo Japan 2018. The stroyline of Kingdom Hearts III will serve as the final chapter for the “Dark Seeker Saga”, and will heavily focus on Sora’s showdown with Master Xehanort.
