Earlier in the year we reported that jazz/lounge band Lamp would be releasing their latest record on vinyl at the end of April. This week the trio have decided to release this album, “Kanojo no Tokei“, on both CD and digital download platforms so that it can reach a wider audience.
In support of this release, the group have uploaded music videos for album tracks “Shasou” and “1998” to their label’s Youtube channel. Both videos feature a washed-out aesthetic which was likewise used in their PV for “Fantasy”, with Shasou’s focusing on the creative process while 1998’s centers around a series of period-appropriate images.
You’ll find both of these music videos right after the jump.
Last we heard from singer/songwriter Ko Nakashima, he had just released his latest digital-only single “TRIANGLE MAGIC” back in December. Nearly six months later, he has now decided to remix two of his older songs and publish the tracks to his Youtube channel.
Intended to promote the upcoming premiere of his apparel brand, these remixes aim to provide a dancier, funkier alternative to the original tracks. The first song, “UTSUSEMI”, comes from Nakashima’s “TAXIS” mini-album, while the latter, “YES NO YES”, was a B-side on the aforementioned “TRIANGLE MAGIC” single.
You can find both of these remixes right after the cut.
It’s only a few more days until Johnnys’ newest group, “King & Prince” debuts! In gearing up for their big day, the group already had their first television commercial (Disney Tsum Tsum Land app) and first TV regular corner (ZIP! Ginza Debut). This time, the group graces the cover of popular women’s magazine “anan” to be released on May 23, which marks the first time in the magazine’s 48 year history that a group is on the cover on their debut day.
The album cover for Utada Hikaru’s highly anticipated studio album Hatsukoi has been revealed!
The cover is a close up beauty shot of the singer, an obvious homage to Utada’s very first album First Love. It was shot by a photographer named Takay based out of New York City.
Hatsukoi is currently scheduled to have 12 songs in total. Six of the tracks have already been released as digital singles, including Forevermore, Oozora de Dakishimete, and Play a Love Song.
