Paris Men’s Fashion Week is currently underway, showing the collections of the Spring 2023 season. Earlier today, Yohji Yamamoto showed his new collection, and one of the models at the show was Raul of Snow Man! This marks the first time that Raul has modelled in Paris, after modelling in Japan for the past few years.
Of his first time walking the Paris runway, Raul said it was the most nervous he had ever been in his life. This was the fulfillment of a dream for him, as he had wanted to model in Paris even before debuting in Snow Man.

Today, “TV Tokyo Music Festival 2022 Natsu” aired. The show featured performances by the likes of KinKi Kids, BiSH, BE:FIRST, Kudo Shizuka, NiziU, Hinatazaka46, hitomi, Daichi Miura, Macaroni Enpitsu, and Tani Yuuki.

On July 13, Naniwa Danshi will release their first album, “1st Love.” The album will include the singles “Ubu LOVE”, “The Answer”, and “Sachiare.” It will also include a new version of “Diamond Smile”, one of the group’s signature song during their Kansai Johnny’s Jr. days. This song is the one that the group will use to promote their album.
“1st Love” will come in three editions: 2CD+DVD / Blu-ray limited edition 1, CD+DVD / Blu-ray limited edition 2, and CD only regular edition. The second CD of limited edition 1 will contain all of Naniwa Danshi’s songs from their Kansai Johnny’s Jr. era, while the DVD / Blu-ray that comes with this edition will include the “Diamond Smile” music video and its making. Limited edition 2’s DVD will contain footage from the final concert of the group’s first tour “Naniwa Danshi First Live Tour 2019-2020 ~Naniwa to Isshou ni #Aoharu Shi yo?” The regular edition of the album will include two bonus tracks.
Ahead of the album’s release, the music video for “Diamond Smile” has been released. Watch til the end of see the group’s ending pose. The ending pose for their debut single “Ubu LOVE” saw them end with the letter “L”, followed by “The Answer” with “O”, “Sachiare” with “V”, and now “Diamond Smile” with “E”, spelling at “LOVE.” Check it out below!
On June 22, Yamashita Tatsuro will release his new album, “SOFTLY.” This is his first album since August 2011’s “Ray Of Hope.” Of the album’s release, he says “It reaffirms what I can do in the current music industry”, and added that as long as he has the will to confront and overcome various issues, he will continue to be active.
“SOFTLY” will include the singles “Hikari to Kimi e no Requiem”, “CHEER UP! THE SUMMER”, “REBORN”, “Mirai no Theme”, and “RECIPE”, as well as the CM songs “LEHUA, MY LOVE” and “SHINING FROM THE INSIDE”, both of which will appear on CD for the first time. All of the songs on the album that have been previously released will feature new mixes.
The album will be released in two versions, premium and regular. In addition to the regular edition’s CD, the premium edition will contain a second CD which features seven songs from an acoustic live that Tatsuro held last December at Tokyo FM Hall to commemorate the 1500th episode of his radio show “Sunday Songbook.”
In tandem with the release of “SOFTLY”, Tatsuro has released the music video for one of the album’s new songs, “LOVE’S ON FIRE.” The video is the story of “boy meets girl.” Check it out below!
On July 16, TBS will air this year’s edition of its annual mid-year music special, “Ongaku no Hi.” The show will begin at 2 PM JST that day and end at 9:54 PM JST that night. Nakai Masahiro and TBS announcer Azumi Shinichiro will host the show for the 12th consecutive year.
The theme of this year’s show is “Message ~Songs I Want to Deliver~.”
The first set of performers for “Ongaku no Hi 2022” has been announced! The list includes the likes of Official HIGE DANdism, NiziU, Yuuri, Tani Yuuki, Creepy Nuts, and Macaroni Enpitsu. Yazawa Eikcihi will also perform, marking his first appearance on a TBS music show for nearly 25 years. Check out the full list below!
On July 2, the tenth edition of Nippon TV’s midyear music special, “THE MUSIC DAY”, will air from 3 PM to 10:54 PM JST. Arashi‘s Sho Sakurai will serve as host for the show, just how he has in previous years. He will be joined by NTV announcers Hatori Shinichi and Miura Asami, as well as Bakarhythm, to assist in his hosting duties. Another of the channel’s announcers, Ichiki Rena, will be in charge of the “Next Gate.”
“THE MUSIC DAY” will return to Chiba’s Makuhari Messe. It was last at the venue in 2019, but hasn’t returned since due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
