hitomi Ventures Through Time in “LOVE 2020”

On June 28, hitomi will release a new digital single, “LOVE 2020.” The song is a remake of her 2000 hit “LOVE 2000.” It does have new lyrics though, to reflect how hitomi has grown over the past 19 years. In the accompanying music video, hitomi lives the lives of seven different women through the ages, taking a journey to the past as well as the future. Check it out below!

Gesu no Kiwami Otome.’s Rival Band Jinsen no Sense Debuts

A few weeks ago, it was reported that Kawatani Enon had created a rival band for Gesu no Kiwami Otome., Jinsen no Sense. It was also announced that the band would debut in June with the digital single “Watashi Igai Watashi Janai no 2.” That debut is today!

Along with the digital single, Jinsen no Sense also released a music video for their debut song. The clip is shot in the style of an old video camera and features three people dancing on stage in animal costumes. Their faces are never revealed, keeping in line with the fact that the members of the band have not been revealed. We do know though that the vocalist for the band is a woman. This week, Yamashita Tomohisa topped the Hot 100 single chart with his new single “CHANGE”, with 11,809 points in its first week.

King & Prince topped the Hot Albums chart with their self-titled debut album.

Official HIGE DANdism topped the Streaming Songs chart for the fifth consecutive week with their single “Pretender.”

Spitz topped the Download Songs chart with their new single “Yasashii Anoko.”

Sakanaction topped the Download Albums chart with their new album “834.194.”

This week, Yamashita Tomohisa topped the Combined Single chart with his new single “CHANGE”, with 83,520 points in its first week.

King & Prince topped the Combined Album chart with their self-titled debut album, with 467,594 points in its first week.

Tomomohisa also topped the Single chart with “CHANGE”, selling 83,520 copies in its first week.

Spitz topped the Digital Single chart with their new single “Yasashii Anoko”, selling 52,957 copies in its first week.

tofubeats, FNCY, Avec Avec, and More Remix Toki Asako on New Album

On June 26, Toki Asako will release a new remix album, “TOKI CHIC REMIX.” This is her first remix album since November 2007’s “TOKI ASAKO REMIXIES WEEKENDSHUFFLE.” The album is a mix of old and new. The remixes by tofubeats, WONK, Kan Sano, and Sunahara Yoshinori have previously been released on 7-inch vinyl. Shota Shimizu to Release New Digital Single “Sorry”

On June 26, Shota Shimizu will a new digital single, “Sorry.” This release comes nearly a year after his album “WHITE.” Shota has released a music video for the song set at a carnival. Check it out below!

Arashi releases “5 x 20” best album and sets new record

National idol group Arashi released their 20th anniversary best album “5×20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019″ on June 26 and sets new records when it sold 729,000 copies on the first day. This number surpassed their own record of “album first-day sales” of 413,000 copies when “Japonism” album was released in October 2015.

Moreover, the group now held the TOP 5 first day sales record by a male artist: 1. 5×20 All the BEST!! 1999-2019 2. Japonism 3. 「untitled」(352K) 4. THE DIGITALIAN (337K) 5. LOVE (328K).

The album contains all 63 singles from debut song “A・RA・SHI” until “Kimi no Uta” and their new anniversary song “5 x 20”. Limited Edition 1 includes the “5 x 20” music video and making of while Limited Edition 2 contains concert clips from their debut concert until their latest. Regular edition will contain the same CD tracklist as both the limited editions.
