The official Sakurazaka46 website has announced that while conducting PCR tests for W-KEYAKI FES. 2022, members Minami Koike, Yui Kobayashi, Yuuka Sugai, Akiho Onuma, and Hikaru Morita all tested positive for COVID-19. This led to Sakurazaka46’s performance at W-KEYAKI FES. 2022 on July 22nd and July 24th being canceled.
The details about the graduation ceremonies of members Aoi Harada and Rika Ozeki that were supposed to take place during W-KEYAKI FES 2022 will be announced at a later date.
Sakurazaka46’s upcoming appearance at NHK’s “Utacon” on July 26th has also been canceled due to the positive tests.

Earlier today, Johnny & Associates revealed something new on its Johnny’s Shop Channel, a lofi stream. The stream takes place in a virtual cafe named “Hanauta.” The songs played on the stream are lofi versions of songs by the company’s many acts.
The idea for this lofi stream came from the staff at the Johnny’s Shop in Shibuya. The workers in the shop are younger fans of the company, so they suggested this idea to the company, playing on the current trend of lofi streams on YouTube.
The lofi stream will run 24 hours a day until December, so check it out below!
Johnny & Associates has announced that Shizuya Yoshizawa of Travis Japan will suspend his activities due to poor physical condition. The cause of this is tendonitis and adjustment disorder.
Shizuya was diagnosed with tendonitis stemming from worsening stress fractures in both legs. The adjustment disorder is due to changes in his environment. Under the guidance of a doctor, it was decided that Shizuya would suspend his activities so that he can rest so that his conditions can improve.

At a press conference earlier today in Tokyo, Yuzuru Hanyu announced that he has retired from competitive figure skating.
“I’m blessed to have had so many people support and recognize me,” the two time Olympic gold medalist and two time world champion said. “Now instead of only at competitions, I hope there will be more opportunities to show off my skating, and I’m looking forward to creating those opportunities.”
After failing to defend his Olympic gold for a third time, coming in fourth this past February, Yuzuru also withdrew from this year’s world championship in March. The cause for the withdraw, as well as his fourth place finish at the Olympics, was his problematic right ankle. He sprained the ankle during practice and received an injection of painkillers before stepping on the Olympic ice. He later took more painkillers to skate in the Olympic exhibition.

On July 18, Hoshino Gen will release a new digital single, “Isekai Kongou Dai Budoukai.” The song serves as the theme song for the film “Ghost Book Obake Zukan”, out July 22.
In the animated video for the song, a child and adult version of Gen goes through life with the aforementioned ghosts. The music video was directed by Igarashi Yuki, an animator who also worked on the first season of the anime series “Jujutsu Kaisen.” Check it out below!
