On October 3, Kis-My-Ft2 held the first day of their “Kis-My-Ft2 LIVE TOUR 2020 To-y2” and became the first artist to perform at the Tokyo Dome through livestream without an audience. Due to the current coronavirus situation, Johnny & Associates have cancelled scheduled concerts till end of year and moved them online, distributed via Johnnys Net Online.
The group performed a full scale concert with a setlist of 22 songs. The production took advantage of the situation that there was no audience at the Tokyo Dome. Towards the end, the 7 members disappeared at the stage only to appear next at the rooftop of the nearby Tokyo Dome Hotel. Their latest single “ENDLESS SUMMER” was performed for the first time as an encore song, 155 meters above ground. This is also the first time an artist has performed at the venue.
This week’s epsiode was a special one in honor of Seiko Matsuda‘s 40th anniversary.

Former Hello!Project leader Ayaka Wada recently held a lengthy interview with QJWeb, along with Mikity from the idol group Nichoume no Sakigate Coming Out, an indie idol group consisting of gay men.
The two mainly chatted about idol culture and the topic of diversity. In the past few years members of Negicco supported still being idols even after they get married, and Yuki Kashiwagi declaring she doesn’t want to graduate AKB48 even when she turns 30.
When the topic eventually moved on to gay people, Wada shared some insight on her personal life which came as a pleasant surprise for many fans.

Japan’s eternal idol Seiko Matsuda is enjoying the successful release of her latest album, “Seiko Matsuda 2020” celebrating her 40 years in show business! Released on September 30th, the album had a strong showing debuting at #3 on the Oricon album charts, and on the latest chart update Matsuda managed to hit the top spot!
The album contains some new tracks along with new versions of her many classic songs. Matsuda is currently making the rounds promoting her album and appeared on the latest episode of Music Station, one of the other guests on the program was South Korean boyband SuperM.

Empress Ayumi Hamasaki has just celebrated her 42nd birthday, and on her birthday successfully completed her second online live for “ayumi hamasaki TROUBLE TOUR 2020 A ~ Saigono Trouble ~ FINAL“.
Shortly after the concert was completed, Ayu wrote an entry on her fanclub Team Ayu blog where she revealed some very exciting news, she’s currently pregnant with her second child!
