Dream5 and Big Bang’s Daesung (D-LITE) top the weekly Oricon charts! 10/27-11/02

After what feels like forever, Oricon has finally changed up the visual style of their charts! It looks great but it required a bit of tweaking on our end to continue pulling the information from there.

On this week’s Oricon physical music chart, Dream5’s outro theme for popular anime “Yokai Watch” tops the single charts with their song “Dan Dan Dubi Zuba!” featuring Buri Taicho selling 66,450 copies. Big Bang’s Daesung, known in Japan as D-LITE, dropped his third album (and second this year) “Delight” , pushing more than 68k units and taking the coveted #1 spot on the album charts.

What would a more human-like Hatsune Miku look like?

The answer to that question is answered thanks to Square Enix’s Nomura Tetsuya . In October a collaboration between Nomura and Miku took place in celebration of “The Hatsune Miku Art Exhibition”. He created original artwork and a 54 second CGI video for the exhibition.

The only way to see the video was if you attended the event, fortunately for those outside of Japan Hatsune Miku‘s official youtube channel uploaded the CGI video for all to enjoy. Nomura expressed interest in a possible video-game collaboration but the decision lies in the hands of Crypton Future Media, the producers of Vocaloid.
