BUMP OF CHICKEN publish two full PVs for “Fighter”

As we reported previously, popular rock band BUMP OF CHICKEN had released the full music video for their new song “Parade”, as well as the short version of the MV for their other new song “Fighter”.  Now, the band have revealed not only the full version of the latter PV, but also a second video for the song, publishing both to their official Youtube channel.

The first of the two, which we saw the preview for, is an animated PV set in the world of Umino Chika’s “Sangatsu no Lion” and based on Miyazawa Kenji’s classic story “Night on the Galactic Railroad”, even featuring an appearance by an animated version of the band themselves.  The second PV is a more classic Bump production, which finds the band walking and playing atop some picturesque hills as a very unique portrait of a woman’s face is constructed below.

Check out both of the music videos below the cut and be sure to look forward to whatever Bump does next, since I know that I will be.

Hello Kitty & Hatsune Miku appear on TIME’s ’15 Most Influential Fictional Characters of 2014

Hello Kitty and Hatsune Miku has made an appearance on TIME magazine’s 15 Most Influential Fictional Characters of 2014, coming in at 15th and 8th place respectively.

The major reasoning of Hello Kitty’s inclusion was largely based on the social media frenzy she caused back in August after it was apparently revealed that Kitty wasn’t actually a cat. This forced Sanrio to release an official statement on the matter clarifying that she is in fact an anthropomorphized animal, just like Micky Mouse. Her reign shows no signs of dying down, the first ever Hello Kitty con was held in Los Angeles from October 30th – November 2nd and tickets quickly sold out.

Hatsune Miku is the major driving force behind the “vocaloid” craze that continues to attract attention worldwide. She served as the opening act for Lady Gaga’s “artRAVE: The ARTPOP ball” from May to June and made her U.S. television debut on David Letterman, performing her signature hit “Sharing The World”

Other characters who made the ranking include Amy Dunne (Gone Girl), Thor, and Frozen’s Elsa.

Ayame Goriki and Lily Collins attend Tokyo premiere of “Love, Rosie”

English actress Lily Collins was in Japan this week promoting her latest film “Love, Rosie”.  At the premiere, held at the Harajuku Quest Hall, she was joined by fellow actress Ayame Goriki.

The two girls instantly complimented each other on their fashion choices for the night. Lily wore a striking bright orange strapless gown, while Ayame donned a chic white mod shift dress. Lily has visited Japan before for private holidays and is always extremely impressed by Japan’s ability to cherish their history and tradition “The beautiful coexistence of past and present is tough to find nowadays”. Prior to the premiere Lily spent the entire day shopping at the iconic “Laforet Harajuku”, enamored by the unique style and numerous shops that can only be found in the famous fashion district. Lily had some free time the day after the premiere and excitedly told reporters about her plans to explore more of Harajuku and visit Meiji Shrine.
