ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION to release their first new single in over 2 years

Well-known rock band ASIAN KUNG-FU GENERATION have revealed that they will be releasing a new single this year on March 18th, their first since 2013’s “Ima wo Ikite”.  Titled “Easter”, the lead track (“Easter / Fukkatsusai”) has been described as a rock number characterized by its hard guitar riffs and eight-beat rhythm.

In addition, the band has also confirmed that they’re working on their next original album and are currently in the process of recording for the release.  This work is being done at Studio 606, the private studio of American rock group the Foo Fighters, with the help of latter band’s seasoned sound engineers.

Koda Kumi Announces New Album

On March 18, Koda Kumi is set to release her 12th studio album “WALK OF MY LIFE.” The album will contain 16 tracks, including the previously released songs “HOTEL”, “MONEY IN MY BAG”, and “Dance In The Rain.” The album will come in 4 editions: CD only, CD+DVD, CD+Blu-ray, and a fanclub only CD+Live DVD. The fanclub only live DVD will have a whopping 62 songs from a concert Kumi did this past December in celebration of her 15th anniversary. Negoto Releases Details on New Album

On March 4, all-girl band Negoto will release their 3rd album, “VISION.” This will be their first album since “5”, which was released in February 2013. The album will contain their 3 previous singles, “Synchromanica”, “Ammonite!”, and “Tasogare no Rhapsody”, as well as 10 new songs. Negoto produced “VISION” themselves. The limited edition of the album will contain a DVD featuring footage from a one-man live by the band from last summer. Ieiri Leo to release new album “20”

Ieiri Leo will be releasing her third album “20” on February 25.

The singer just recently celebrated her 20th birthday. The album will contain 12 songs including “miss you” from her upcoming February 11 single release, “silly” the theme song of the drama “N no Tame ni” and “Junjou” the ending theme song to “DRAGON BALL KAI” The limited edition will include a DVD with a music video and making for “miss you”. It will also include footage from her one-man live at Shinkiba STUDIO COAST last December 13.

To commemorate the release of the single and album, the singer will be holding a free live “LEO IEIRI 3rd Anniversary Special Live” at the Roppongi Hills Arena. In addition, she will be holding a tour”~ Leo Ieiri 4th One-man Tour ~ 20 twenty”. Check out the album covers and tracklist below.

KAT-TUN announces new single “KISS KISS KISS” for “Second Love” theme song

KAT-TUN has announced the release of their 24th single titled “KISS KISS KISS” scheduled to be released on March 11. The song will be used as theme song for the new TV Asahi drama “Second Love” (start Feb 6) starring member Kamenashi Kazuya.

The group has finished their solo member music video project tied with their single releases and with the new single, the group has a new project called “Shuffle KAT-TUN”. Included in the single are two new songs (C & D) each featuring two pairs; Taguchi Junnosuke and Nakamaru YuichiKamenashi Kazuya and Ueda Tatsuya. The last time the group featured duets in a release was during their debut album “Best of KAT-TUN”. More single information details to be released later.

Chara Reveal Details on New Album

On March 4, Chara will release her new album “Secret Garden.” The “secret garden” here is a reference to a woman’s uterus. The secret garden / uterus motif carries over into the album’s cover art as well. It depicts Chara as a statue in a flower garden. Chara says that when she’s in love, she creates beautiful songs. Chara is currently dating Yoshiki Ryousuke , the drummer for THE NOVEMBERS.

Chara is collaborating with several people on this album including THE NOVEMBERS, Curly Giraffe, mabanua, agraph, and in-sist. Check out the cover and tracklist for this album after the jump as well as the music videos for the previously released songs!
