Well-known reggae/pop group Shonan no Kaze have just announced that they’ll be releasing their sixth studio album on May 27th of this year. While currently untitled, the group have revealed that this release will be their first attempt at a Double Album – that is, an album which spans two CDs rather than the more conventional one.
Included on this new album will be their already released tracks “Puzzle” (Theme Song for the drama “Zero no Shinjitsu”), “Bubble” (Theme Song for the game “Ryu ga Gotoku (Yakuza) 0: Chikai no Basho”), “Kurenai” (Ending Song for “Ryu ga Gotoku 0”), “Road” (Theme Song for the drama “Genkai Shuraku Kabushikigaisha”) and “Freeeeeeeee”. In addition, the release will also contain their new song “Z ~Washirateki Gyakushu~” (Theme Song for the upcoming movie “Z Island”) and “Hallelujah”, a summer song said to be in the same vein as previous hits “Suirenka” and “Entenka” for a total of 17 tracks between both CDs. The DVD packaged with the album’s Limited Edition will include their full concert from Saitama Super Arena on December 28th of last year.
Feel free to read on below and take a look at the music video for their most recent single “Bubble”, and please continue to look forward to more information about this album as its release date draws closer.
In an appearance at the entrance ceremony of his alma mater Kinki University in Osaka, Hello! Project Producer and Sharam Q singer Tsunku revealed that he had his vocal cords removed following the resurgence of his laryngeal cancer in October. He can no longer speak or sing.
Tsunku’s message was communicated through a letter projected onto a screen that was also read out by the host on Tsunku’s behalf.
In his letter, he congratulated the students and wrote, “Just like all the new students today, I’m also entering the first year of my new life.“
As we reported previously, popular singer/songwriter Superfly will be releasing her fifth full album “WHITE” on May 27th. Now that the release date has drawn a bit closer, she has chosen to publish just a bit more information about the release, including a preview of one of its new songs “A HA HA”.
“A HA HA” is Superfly’s second collaboration with Australian rocker Chris Cester after “i spy i spy” (released under the name SuperflyxJET) and was produced in Hollywood by Jason Hill of US-based rock band Louis XIV. This is not the only collaboration which Superfly will be taking part in on “WHITE”, which among its 14 tracks will also include songs worked on by American singer-songwriter Bonnie McKee, Nakada Yuji, Tomoya S. (of Heavenstamp), BONNIE PINK, and poet Sugawara Bin.
Another of the new songs on the album, titled “Beautiful”, has been picked up as the theme song for the TBS drama “Mother Game ~Kanojotachi no Kaikyuu~”, which will start airing on April 14th. “Beautiful” has been described as a speedy track best characterized by its melancholic guitar riffs and soaring strings, the song’s contrasting textures a perfect fit for the drama.
Read on below for a look at the cover for “WHITE”, as well as the snippet of “A HA HA” mentioned earlier. As always, please continue to look forward to the album’s release.
