On June 10, Tokyo Jihen had their own NHK music special, “NHK MUSIC SPECIAL Tokyo Jihen ~Jinrui to Kairaku~.” This is the band’s first NHK music special in 11 years. The show is composed of three other NHK shows: “Gatten!”, “Musica Piccolyno”, and “Warau Yogakuten.” Tokyo Jihen also performed four songs.

Multiple tabloids are reporting that Hey! Say! JUMP! member Yuri Chinen is currently involved with up-and-coming model Naomi Trauden. In late May of this year Trauden was spotted leaving the room of a tower apartment where Chinen apparently lives.

They were said to be introduced by common circle of friends, but their relationship only began as friends for quite some time. During Covid lockdown since it was much more difficult to go out the friend group would often meet at Chinen’s house, the two became much more close during this period and their friendship began to greatly develop by the end of the year.

Johnny’s group Snow Man has returned with a brand new YouTube version for their latest single “HELLO HELLO“. This is the groups 4th single overall, and will serve as the theme song for the film “Honey Lemon Soda” starring Snow Man member Raul. The film will be released nationwide in Japan on July 9th.

Described as a pop love song, the aim is to almost make you feel like a butterfly filling you with sweetness and love. Another highlight is the choreography for the chorus of the song which is quite easy to remember, so they encourage fans to try it themselves. Check out the full MV below:

In September 2020 Bump of Chicken’s bass player Yoshifumi Naoi announced that he would be suspending activities after tabloid Bunshun leaked that the married Yoshifumi had an affair with other women.

The scandal didn’t do anything with stopping the activities of the band overall, they continued as a temporary 3 piece and during that same month they released a new track called “Acacia“. The Pokémon tie-in went on to be quite a big hit for the band, a special animated MV for the track currently has 45 million views on YouTube, and the audio upload on their official channel has over 25 million views.

On June 9, odol will release their new album, “Hatameki.” This is the band’s first album since October 2018’s “Orai Suru Mono.”

The nine songs on “Hatameki” include the song “Chiisana Koto wo Hitotsu” from the radio distribution service radiko, and “Ayumu Hibi ni” from the Morinaga Milk Industry’s corporate film.
