Following its announcement, details on Yun*chi‘s second album Pixie Dust* have finally been revealed, including the tracklist, cover, and artist promotional picture (above). It was also announced that the anime chanteuse herself will be making a trip to New York City on August 29th to perform at the Japanese cultural convention Waku Waku NYC alongside ☆Taku Takahashi of m-flo fame. On August 5, Ken Hirai will release his new single, “Kimi no Kodou wa Kimi ni Shika Narasenai.” The song serves as the theme song for the new TBS drama “Napoleon no Mura.” He recently released the music video for the song. In it, Ken dances with a grandmother figure, 74 year old Emiko Takizawa. She was selected for the video through an audition process. The pair’s dancing incorporates elements of both ballroom and contemporary dance. Check it out after the jump!
On September 2, Daichi Miura will release his 5th studio album, “FEVER.” It comes nearly 2 years after his last album, “The Entertainer.” “FEVER” will include the singles “Anchor”, “Furueau Dake de ~Always with you~”, “IT’S THE RIGHT TIME”, and “music”, as well a new version of “Unlock.” “FEVER” will come in 4 versions: a CD+DVD edition, a CD+Blu-ray edition, a CD only edition, and a CD+DVD fanclub edition. The DVD and Blu-ray that comes with the album includes music videos, choreography videos, and a making video, while the fanclub edition DVD contains a making of the album video. On August 5, Shiina Ringo will release her new single, “Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri / Kamisama, Hotokesama.” Ahead of the physical release, “Kamisama, Hotokesama” is now available for download digitally. The song serves as the CM song for LG’s “isai vivid” smartphone. It features vocals by Mukai Shutoku of the band ZAZEN BOYS.
Today, Ringo released the short music video for the song. It’s a visual feast, a moody homage to Japanese culture. She also released the short version of the real PV for “Nagaku Mijikai Matsuri.” Check them out after the jump!
