the dresscodes unveil special ‘Audition’ Music Video for new song “Slogan”

We previously reported that rock act the dresscodes, better known as the solo project of Ryohei Shima, is planning to release a new album titled “Audition” on October 21st.  Ahead of this date the project has now revealed the PV for the album’s lead track “Slogan”, publishing the video to their official Youtube channel.

This special music video involved the work of seven different directors, each of whom contributed one segment that helped to make up the overall product.  The styles on display differ greatly, involving various styles of animation, several skits, and continued cuts to Shima as he introduces each director.

Perfume Celebrates Their 10th Anniversary with a Special Episode of Music Japan

Perfume is currently celebrating the 10th anniversary of their major label debut. Today, Music Japan, NHK’s music show which Perfume hosts, presented the girls with a special episode of the show in celebration of this momentous occasion. The show featured talks with Perfume and their producer, Yasutaka Nakata. It also featured clips from Perfume’s Music Japan and Kohaku performances.

BONNIE PINK Releases PV for “Spin Big”

Last month, BONNIE PINK released her new digital single, “Spin Big.” It is her first new song since her 2012 album “Chasing Hope.” Today, she released the music video for the track. The clip features BONNIE performing the song on a guitar, while BMX bike riders and roller skaters circle her. Check it out after the jump!

NHK to cease airing Korean dramas

As reported by Soompi, it was revealed on October 11th by Japanese news outlets that the Japanese Broadcasting Corporation (NHK) will no longer be airing Korean dramas.

According to the report, the network first started airing Korean dramas in April 2003 with Winter Sonata. However, after the drama Empress Ki finishes airing, NHK has decided to cease airing any further Korean dramas. One industry professional said of the limits of Korean dramas, “Japanese people are starting to feel that more recent dramas [coming to Japan] lack the passionate love that they remember from Winter Sonata.”

Upcoming Fall JDoramas 2015

Hello Arama readers! Welcome to our seasonal list of of Jdramas. Again, you can check out the list of the fall/ autumn drama line up below.

TBS opened up a new drama slot on Wednesday midnights, with Odagiri Joe’s “Taro’s Candy House” as the first drama for the said timeframe. FUJI TV also introduced a new Saturday late night slot with comedy series “Teddy Go!” This season also signals the start of the new NHK Asadora drama “Asa ga Kita” starring Haru and the end of Inoue Mao’s taiga drama “Hana Moyu” by year end.

A chart of Fall Drama Specials is also included. A lot of drama SPs are lined up, including two huge drama specials from TBS and FUJI TV starring Ninomiya Kazunari.
